“great fun ...”

We had a lovely day on this trip - prompt pick-up, very friendly people and plenty to see. Especially appreciated the ice-pops on the way home!

“DO NOT GO, UNPROFESSIONAL!!!”
Reviewed 18 October 2009

My girlfriend and I took a trip to Treasure Island for the day for our 1 year anniversary. Upon making reservations, we we're told to be at the dock by 9:45 and that we will depart by 10. We arrived at 9:45 and waited until 10:15. We finally called them at 10:15 and was informed that the trip had been canceled. Needless to say, a phone call would have been nice, as it took us an hour to drive there. Luckily the hotel we stayed at let us check in almost 5 hours early. We were left hanging and will definitely not use Charlies Charters again. Very unprofessional.

“Dolphins, Tropical Islands, Snorkling, Great Boat Ride! I was impressed.”
Reviewed 11 October 2009

I had a blast! Best $35 I spent in a looong time. The complimentary shuttle from the hotel made getting to the boat hassle free. The ship captain and the mate were very informative and skilled at making everyone feel comfortable from the beginning to the end of the trip. As we made our one hour journey to Egmont Key, we found dolphins hunting for thier breakfast. While the boat was stopped to watch the dolphins feeding, a small pod came right to the boat. Absolutely amazing! How cool is that? Then it was back to a calm tropical morning boat ride with fun island music. When we arived Egmont Key, the boat pulled right to the shore and getting off the boat to the beach was easy with the stairs on the front of the boat. The Spanish American war fort remains had plenty of history markers throughout the old brick roads that made up a small city in the late 1800's. I took a path from the gun implacements and walked back to the boat by the beach. Thats when I found a Megladon shark's tooth right at the waters edge. The crew said that fossilized shark teeth are pretty common here. they even had a few for show and tell. The trip to the snorkling spot was about 5 minutes. As we were underway the crew gave us our masks, fins, and float noodles. We pulled right next to the underater fort, wich is just like a reef for the hundres of fish that find food and shelter there. The mate was the first one in and confidently encouraged all aboard to come swim in the warm clear water. After an hour to explore the underwater world i got back on the boat. Again the crew suprised us with a fresh water rinse and sliced oranges. On the way back to the dock we encountered some energetic dolphins that lept from the boat wake, just feet from the back of the boat. Clearly the dolphins were having a blast! Honestly this was a real family adventure that would be a bargain at twice the price!

“Snorkling in St Pete, fl.”
Reviewed 4 June 2009

We wanted to have an activity while vacationing at Treasure Island. We had a great boat ride(total 4 hr) and snorkling tour.

Wonderful stay at the Marriot resident inn and discount for this tour. Ask at the front desk for information. We were picked up at the hotel.

Captain Hal Batey runs Charlie's Charters out of the Treasure Island Marina, fl. near Blind Pass.

He provides 2 hour trips to Shell Key and 4 hour trips to Egmont Key for snorkeling and sightseeing. Cap'n Batey guarantees you will see dolphins.

Check out the Egmont Key video on his website. http://www.partyboatcharters.com/index.htm
