“She liked it,I hated it.”

They got to her with the crab legs...my steak was tough, fatty, and chewy. It seemed like a half a mile hike to the rest room, and the interior just felt cheesy.

“Worst meal of my life”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

Perhaps one of the worst restaurants posing as a 'steakhouse.' Unfortunately, I had an awful steak (poor cut, poor meat, poorly cooked) and my wife had crab-cakes, which were extremely fishy and salty... almost as if they were served well beyond their best by date. Take my advice, instead of getting a steak at Paul's save yourself the $$, you could probably get a better steak at Waffle House (probably would have better crab-cakes too).
By the way, $4 for a salad (which is just a bowl of lettuce (nothing else), is beyond absurd.

Service was decent, if you are okay with the 50-year old waitresses sitting outside the kitchen and watching everyone eat (obviously talking about all the customers).

All in all, the best part about Paul's was the single condom vending machine in the men's room... that's how you know it's a classy joint. Just like a truck stop.

“The New Year's Eve tickets were a scam...”
Reviewed 2 January 2012

The food was ok. Our waitress was excellent. The ticketing ushers were so so. We were disappointed that they started selling tickets to their New Year's Eve bash at 1:00 in the afternoon, with no limits to the number of tickets sold....which meant they sold way more than what they could possibly hold. They would not serve food in the 'party' area either. Needless to say, many folks did not get in even if they paid their money....and the folks that did get in were packed in like sardines.

“GREAT food.....”
Reviewed 1 January 2012

Prices are a little above average, but the food is great. Portion size is larger than usual so you won't go away hungry. Everything from steaks to seafood... and it is all good! Service is top notch also. Our server kept our drinks topped off and made sure we had everything we needed.

“Very disappointing. Go somewhere else.”
Reviewed 1 January 2012

We went in about 5 and went to the bar entrance. The person at the door said there was a cover charge. We just turned around and left. There was no band nothing. I don't pay cover charges just to go to a bar for an afternoon drink. That's totally ridiculous. Never again. There are plenty of other bars with in a short walk that don't charge a cover charge.
