My husband & I spent the night at Villas By The Sea when our business (VNC Photography) shot a wedding & reception there Easter 2018 weekend (the wedding took place on Driftwood Beach; walking distance from the resort). Our room was clean & spacious and they offer different views; our bride's unit was 2 stories & opened out directly onto the beach. There was a clean bathroom with toiletries, a full kitchen, cable, wi-fi and a 24 hour onsite gift shop that also sold frozen dinners/pizza/desserts/etc. There's also an on-site restaurant.
Best tip I can give: grab dinner before 8:00pm, bring your food onto the island with you or purchase food at the gift shop to prepare in your room. All the restaurant's kitchens on Jekyll Island closed around 8:00pm when we visited (this was on a Saturday night the day before Easter). You could grab a bite on St. Simons Island or in Brunswick (about 25 minutes away), but you'll have to pay another $6 to come back onto Jekyll Island.
Other than that, it was a lovely resort and we plan on returning again!More
