OMG this is not a place to stop if your short on cash. Priceline.com is good but be careful with the really low prices. The 3 and 4 stars can only come from the employees trying to hold on to their jobs. Cigarette burns in the carpet and comforter on bed. The room smell like smoke, we did not stay 5 sec in there. I did not want anything of mine smelling like that room. The picture on the website is not what you see in that room. The bed is so small it look like a double and not two queens. I was shocked that people really live there.

I stayed for 2 weeks and as all the other places I have been to, there are positive and negative points. On the positive side, the price is right, there is a laundry room onsite with decent prices and there is a small closet with a door making it convenient to put your belongings out of site. On the negative side, the fridge was small, the furnishings were old and I had a bug problem. I have to say though that the staff was quick to respond and sent in the exterminator. I saw some more roaches a couple of days later and bought my own bug spray. It wasn't as extreme as some others have described so I think it depends on which area of the building you are located. I had a room on the back and It was quiet. I didn't have any issues with any other guests misbehavior. Overall it was a decent experience. One tip though: do your reservation online, you will save a few dollars.

We arrived at 9:30 PM to find the office closed. Got security to get our room key. As soon as we turned the lights on we saw Roach Bugs crawling on the walls and bed. I immediately called security, gave him back the key and left to find a place we could rest for the night. The security officer was very polite and fully understood our concerns. He told us to call back in the morning and get a refund. This was the worst motel I have ever saw. The smell, bugs and mold was terrible. Do not even waste your time stopping at this dump.

    Room tip: A real dump

I stayed at this hotel because I needed a stove and a cheap room for six days. I was visiting some friends that live about ten minutes away.To my surprise the hotel was not like the experiences portrayed on previous reviews in Tripadvisor. My room was clean and I did not see one roach. I saw a security officer every night I was there and I had no problems with anyone what so ever. Seems if there was any trouble the secuirty officer or police handled it because I did not have any trouble ever. The people at the front desk were nice. A lady named Beatrice was really helpful in telling me about the hotel and she was very nice to me when I checked in. She explained the guidelines and what was offered to me clearly, and I did appreciate that.
I would recommend Savannah Suites in the Jonesboro Ga. area to anyone that needs to save a buck and needs a stove and refrigerator in the room.

Room tip: If you are staying a few days the front of the hotel is nicer. A little more geared for the business traveler

I lived at Savannah Suites for about 2 months while I looked for a house. The experience was not pleasant. I lived in the center close to the back. That is where all the noise is.
Their is 3 men, 2 women and about 6 children hang out all day long from about 10am to 11pm at night. I got a chance to watch these people on my day off from work. The men stand in the back parking lot in front of the steps and the first 2 rooms on the first floor. No one can live in these rooms because you cannot have any piece and quiet. The men walk around with cans of beer in their hand and talk very loud because they are drunk. The men and women holler at the children when they see a car come around the corner. They let the children scream, cry and drop ice cream, soda and water all over the pavement in the halls and 1st and 2nd floor. These men and women should go into their rooms and drink and smoke and also take their children to the park to play. I lived in the center and I could hear them running up and down the hallways. I bet some of these men do not live at this hotel. They just make it bad for everyone standing in back parking lot talking loud and cursing. No one does anything about it. I heard a security lady telling them that she heard them all the way to the front talking loud. She never did tell them they need to go in their rooms so other people can hear their television or go to sleep. They were still outside at 12am that night. Do not stay at this hotel because their is a bunch of men hanging out and loud children playing all day. Also the porch is dirty and need cleaning with a mop. All those dirty spots, water leaking from air conditioners and chewing gum and cigarette butts laying around. The manager or security do nothing to prevent this drinking and wild children from running everywhere.

Thank you for choosing the Savannah Suites for your lodging needs. Unfortunately, there were some less than ideal circumstances during your stay.

I would like to assure you that the issue has been resolved. We have taken extra steps with our security officer and the police department to assist us from this behavior taking place in the future.

I am in great hopes that the next time you are in need of lodging you choose the Savannah Suites so we can show you the many improvements we have made to the property.

The first day I was trying to find a room. The room I inspected had roaches behind the bed and in the kitchen. I finally found one that did not have roaches in it but the neighbors above me kept walking hard and throwing things on the floor. Also the neighbors under me were drunk and smoked mariquana. They were very loud. I had no choice but to stay because my budget was very low. I needed all my money to find an apartment. I talked with the manager about the roaches and noise. They came and sprayed 2 times the whole hotel. I thought the manager would know that these rooms needed continued spraying. I tried to talk to her about the noise level but she was not concern and let it rolled right off her back. I thought maybe if she walked around she could smell the drug odor because these rooms you can smelled everything and hear people walking and talking all the time. The police need to be called about drug use and public drinking at Jonesboro hotel. The manager will do nothing.
