Description: In the South, we are kept up at night remembering our grandmother's fried chicken, our mother's biscuits and gravy, the taste of a peach fresh off the tree in July and the smell of boiled peanuts as we pass by a roadside stand after a day of fishing with our grandfather. We crave and dream about our food, attaching it to memories of childhood, friends and family. We are taught a great meal is not about the food and drink we consume, it is an emotional experience bonding us to it forever. The Mill Southern Kitchen and Bar, the quintessential Southern neighborhood restaurant, is a down-to-earth spot, where the casual vibe is heightened by the mouth-watering cuisine, the culinary inspired cocktails, the large selection of craft beers and the thoughtfully selected wine list. Whether a guest prefers the well-appointed dining room, the comfortable bar or the sizeable patio complete with a fireplace, it is a gathering spot for those who want to conjure up their favorite memories or create.

Not crowded on Saturday for lunch. Great atmosphere. Delicious food- pimento cheese the best ever (& we’ve had a lot!) great fish tacos and fabulous shrimp and grits! No brunch any day but Sundays. Lovely indoor and outdoor. Good service. A little pricey. Good local beers on tap.

We went for the Sunday Brunch and were looking forward to a pleasant afternoon. We ordered their Eggs Benedict and Crab Benedict. They offered a southern touch by replacing an English Muffin with a Southern Biscuit. I'm sorry to say it failed. The biscuit was not fluffy and properly baked and the eggs were small and the crab-meat scant. The fried potatoes were an attempt to fill the plate, but the primary course was lacking.

The setting is beautiful and located near several attractions, but I'm sad to say we will not be visiting again.

Ate here with friends and family this past weekend. The staff was very friendly and we were promptly seated a few minutes early from our reservation. Drink orders were taken and we were not rushed to make any decisions on ordering. Three of us had their burger--one had it with no bun and a substitution for fries (on carb free diet). The burger was well prepared and served with sweet potato fries (which were great) for the other two. The meat was tender and cooked medium well (as ordered). The pimento cheese and bacon jam were well suited to the burger. The bun was fresh and made of a brioche dough. I would definitely order it again. Another at the table had the short rib. It was well prepared however it was a little dry and needed extra BBQ sauce to enjoy it. The cheese grits and brusell sprouts were good. Another at the table had the trout. They enjoyed it. Overall service was good. Our waiter could have topped off drinks a bit sooner but was otherwise a good server. Will try again when in the area.

I attended a surprise birthday lunch for approximately 50 people. I was impressed with how well-coordinated the waitstaff was when it came time to bring out the food. There were 3 different 1st course choices that were pre-selected and everyone at the table received theirs at the same time. There were also multiple options for the main course and everyone's food arrived hot and together. The meals were very tasty, although the portions seemed extremely large for lunch. If you're not part of a group, ask your server about it and you may want to get individual appetizers and just split an entree if you're not extremely hungry.
