Joe is the best host. it is the first pick to stay on the island. Beautiful architecture, friendly staff, large rooms, great restaurant. The breakfast is superb. Can't recommend enough. All rooms have balconies that face the ocean.

Room Tip: All rooms have great views!

The service was unmatched the hotel rooms were amazing. The rooftop restaurant was amazing. Highly recommend the filet mignon (no knife needed). Lorna was an amazing waitress and kept the drinks cold.

This place is beautiful! Opulent! We stayed in the penthouse which was like an apartment with kitchen/living area, two bathrooms and gorgeous bedroom. The other rooms may be similar in scale, but we didn't see those. We felt like we were in Tuscany (theoretically.... we've never been....). The penthouse was unusual because it's the only room on the fifth floor and you walk past what is essentially the restaurant staging area so access was a little odd but worth it for the room and the view.

The staff was amazing and so friendly. It was like staying in a B&B. Gloria served us scones each morning, and made sure we had plenty to eat for breakfast (which is complimentary). The owner, Joe, took time to socialize with guests over breakfast, we had a nice long chat with him.

The pool is small, yes, but a great addition - we loved it! It's a lap pool and has hot tub jets, like a spa. We spent every afternoon there. And of course you're just a few steps from the ocean across the street.

We had dinner one night on the rooftop at ocean lodge. Everything we ordered was delicious! The wait staff was dealing with a full house and at least one very large party so our meals were delayed. This seemed to be bothering other diners but we weren't in a rush... the view was amazing, and the wait staff apologetic and super accommodating. It's an intimate restaurant, and very lovely, so be prepared to linger over food!

You can easily walk to the fishing pier and town from Ocean Lodge. There are complimentary bikes for use but we didn't try them. The area seemed less conducive to biking than other places we've been - with a lot of biking on the streets themselves rather than dedicated bike paths.

Overall, Ocean Lodge at St Simon was a great getaway! It is worth mentioning - we learned after booking that children under 14 years old are not allowed. This worked fine for us on this particular weekend and guaranteed our relaxation. The kids saw the pictures and are jealous!

We loved the room, and rooftop! The breakfast was incredible as well! We finished our honeymoon here and loved it! Already trying to plan a return trip! Try the Jalepeno Margherita at the rooftop lounge- very good!

Stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. What a gorgeous place!! I cannot say enough good things about the Lodge and the staff. Talked to Will to make reservation and he put us in the most amazing room - 401 - with a gorgeous view of the ocean and a huge veranda that we wished we could have just slept on it was so nice. The rooms are to die for! Tuscan decorated and the detail is just unbelievable. The restaurant is very good and I highly recommend it as well. Wonderful place to spend time. Jackie was great to help us with directions and everyone who treated us to breakfast each morning were just wonderful to talk to. I would not stay anyplace else when visiting St. Simons. Covered parking underneath and centrally located. Very romantic place!!
