Village Inn and Pub

This is a wonderful inn. It's close to the main shopping area, pier, etc. The rooms are very clean and are charming, with quality furnishings. I wanted to take the towels home! The attention to detail, including the crown moldings, balconies and ammenities, provide a great ambiance. The Pub has an extended continental breakfast in the morning and is a fun place to unwind in the evening. I'd absolutely recommend The Village Inn and Pub without reservation.

Having paid many visits to St Simons never quite found the inn we wished to return to well now we have! We stayed in a 2nd level king room with balcony that was supurb. The inn has breakfast in the morning that is served in the pub and a plentiful one at that. The inn is perfect for children and families as well with a lovely pool and outside seating. No food other than breakfast is served

Room Tip: Look for a balcony room

I was just in St. Simons for a party and the entire group stayed at the Village Inn and Pub. Very impressed with how effectively and efficiently they were able to accommodate such a large group. Rooms were great and service was good and friendly. Definitely will stay there again and plan to recommend to friends.

Room Tip: If you're handicapped, make sure to ask for a room on the first floor. The rooms are nice and c...

The Village Inn is simply perfect, only a few steps from the charming village, lively pier, shops and restaurants, and the historic lighthouse, yet it has a quiet, secluded, peaceful feel. The inn has an appealing island ambiance--louvered shutters, wrought-iron balconies, live oaks draped with Spanish moss and twinkling with lights at night. The rooms are inviting, bright and airy. I enjoyed filling the days with exploring the beautiful island, then returning to the inn to relax on the balcony or in the Pub. I had just discovered Eugenia Price's books; I read her St. Simons Trilogy prior to my visit and explored all the sites in her stories. For a history buff, this was a fascinating view of SSI through its people and their lives. The Village Inn was the ideal setting. (A mini-fridge would be a nice addition to the rooms.)

This lovely little inn is in the perfect location. The Oglethorpe room was beachy, bright, and cheerful. All the windows, shutters, and balconies were so great. RB was an excellent bartender and locals and fellow travelers alike had such fun watching sports and shooting the breeze at the pub. Everyone was so friendly. I loved the make-your-own mini Belgian waffles for my free breakfast! They were yummy. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: We liked the stand-alone configuration of the Oglethorpe and Bessie Smith rooms... and their proximi...

What a wonderful surprise. Recommended to us by the wonderful woman at the airport. Beautifiul setting. Great location. Very clean, nice rooms. Beautiful cozy setting. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and ocean. The Pub on site is wonderful with great atmosphere. A great place to sit and chat with locals and visitors. All the nice touches...the little things like bottled water in the room. Definitely plan to return.

We were part of a bus tour and could not have chosen a more ideal facility! The rooms were unique; we had two baconies on the second floor, clean rooms, maid service as required (we stayed 3 days), close to everything and OUTSTANDING support by Missy and the staff! Missy spent hours of her time getting my wireless laptop to work! Continental breakfast was as expected. Pool is small, but adequate. Can't comment on the price as it was part of a package. We would definitely go back,
