The first bad vibes we got was when we approached the front doors. There were cigarette butts strewn all over the drive. There was trash in the bushes. The elevator floor was dirty, badly chipped as were the walls. Our room, though, was spacious, the beds were fairly comfortable. That was the most positive thing to say. There was soap scum and mildew around the safety bar. There were only two bath towels and this was a 2 queen room. The fixtures in the tub were corroding. I do not think the eletric outlet in the bathroom had ever been wiped down. Most concerning was the seam between the carpet and vinyl flooring. It was frayed, and there was an exposed nail with a sharp point sticking out. Are you serious? That does not happen overnight. And to top it off, the TV did not work!! It was late, we were very tired and just dropped the matter and went to bed.

We have stayed in many LaQuintas and have usually enjoyed them. The problem here was the breakfast. The weekend breakfast hours began at 7 am - that's what the signs said, and that's what we were told when we checked in. But not so. I came down at 7 am and was told that there was no breakfast until 7:30. And then - there was no coffee. NO COFFEE?!?!? No, the usual coffeemaker was appparently not working. If you cared the slightest bit about your guests, how hard would it have been to go to WalMart and get a percolator?? NO COFFEE for breakfast?!?!? You must be kidding me.

We stayed at this hotel while driving south. The room was fresh and clean with a comfy bed and nice bath with fluffy towels. Much nicer than we expected for the price. Conveniently located near many restaurants and the staff was great.
