If you need cookie-cutter perfection, Wifi and cable, skip this one. But if you like unique places, historic buildings, and really good cheese grits, this is the place for you!

The place is a little thread-bare in places, but it is much like going to visit your grandmother's or dotty old auntie. The hotel is owned and operated by Miss Gerri, and it is clearly a labor of love - her pride in her establishment shows. The rooms are large and our bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very filling, the coffee delicious, and the cheese grits were awesome.

We planned our trip around the FDR-related sites, and the location was perfectly central to the Little White House, FDR State Park, and a quick drive to Callaway Gardens. The Bulloch House was a quick walk around the corner.

We would definitely stay again.

We spent a quiet night at this hotel, on sort of a last minute get-away. We stayed in a rather small room, sparcely decorated and very cold. The fee was more than what I would have expected to pay for the accomodations. Everything definitely had an "old" feel, including the squeaky bed.

We were offered a nightly drink and had a full breakfast the following morning, served on the second floor. The food was a bit overdone, and the sweet breads were purchased, not homemade.

The proprietor is obviously proud of her establishment and is attempting to upgrade parts of the old building, but at the same time, attempting to keep its original appearance. The location is possibly the best the town has to offer, being located in the quiant downtown area of Warm Springs.

If the room had been priced half of what we paid, I would have felt like we got a deal. Since we paid what we did, I felt is was definitely overpriced.

My husband and I stayed one night in the Honeymoon Suite. We had a fantastic time! Gerrie welcomed us, and she is super friendly. She gave us background information on the B&B, as well as a list of people that stayed there previously. Since I am a huge fan of classic hollywood, I was super excited that Bette Davis once stayed at Hotel Warm Springs.

The B&B is very clean. We ordered a special romantic package that included strawberries and fudge. You MUST get the fudge if you go here. It's sooooo good. Anyway, our room was very nice. There was a heart-shaped jacuzzi in the bathroom. They supplied the candles. Even though this is a B&B, we were not disturbed by any noise. We had breakfast delievered in bed (part of the packege), and it was DELICIOUS. The cheese grits are fantastic.

My husband and I have stayed many places, even in Europe. Now, keep in mind this place has a very historic flair, and it is not modern with its decor. They have kept it as old-fashioned as possible, so if you are looking for something modern and trendy, this is not the place for you. However, if you like history, especially around the 1940's, you will really enjoy Hotel Warm Springs.

My partner and I decided to get out of town (Atlanta) for the night over Memorial Weekend. We've always wanted to see FDR's little White House so headed to Warm Springs. We like odd and different hotels...and this is it.

When we called for reservations....Carol took the call and said she had to turn off the 'Kirby' to hear us make the reservation. A Kirby is an OLD vacumm cleaner. This was a sign of what was to come.

The old, historic, victorian B&B is really a beautiflul building. It has HUGE 18" ceiling and enormous center public rooms. The decorations, however, are dated and the facility needs some upkeep. They tried to make it victorian chic but fail in many ways. I think it just needs an update.

The welcome by Carol at checkin was wondeful. She if elated with true southern hospitality. And FUNNY! She helps you remember you ARE in the deep south. The young girls assisting her were useless. They were too worried about their nails, hair, and boyfriends. They need some manners too.

The room was large. And comfortable. Needs work though. Tiles are loose, Paint is poorly applied. Basically, the entire building needs a nice gay couple come in and re-do it!

Other than that...the hotel was perfectly located and full of interest. Full buffet in the morning was very movie-esk....like a b&b scene.

The place is worth the trip...and the price. You'll have memories...good or bad...for sure!

Thank Carol!

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the honeymoon room in Hotel Warm Springs B&B in January 1999. We absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was terrific. The town is full of rich heritage! We liked it so much that we go back every year for our anniversary! This is such a neat, quaint little B&B and town. You will definitely be pleased!
