My wife and I stayed here two nights of our two week vacation. The property was very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There are several restaurants within short walking distance. The free breakfast was typical of the Marriot Townplace properties. Nothing exceptional but quite adequate. The Belgian waffles were nice. This property is very close to the entire downtown area and is within short walking distance of several museums, parks and the university campus.

In short, I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is beautiful, in a great location for a family stroll, and the rooms were clean and nice.
Cons-When building this beautiful hotel I think they forgot to put insulation in the walls and celings. We heard everything from above us and even 2 floors above us. We called the front desk 3 times about the noise. And was awake several more times during the night.

I do realize that the night we stayed there was the night BSU played a home game and they were busy. But if I were to stay again I would only stay on the top floor with no one above you.

Room Tip: A top floor room

It's located in a quiet area close to downtown, so convenient for getting downtown, and it's nice and peaceful at night. It's clean, the room is spacious and the windows open either to downtown Boise or a quiet backyard they have, depending on where your room is. We requested the quiet garden in the back. The room has a nice kitchenette and pots and pans! They have a nice pool/hot tub area downstairs and the staff are very friendly.

Room Tip: If you want to see nature from your window, ask for the garden side.

Stayed for a kids soccer tournament , place was super convenient 10 mins to the airport and 5 mins from downtown Boise and or the University. Place was clean and new with great kitchenette. Only negative was the free breakfast was kind of lame ( to be expected based on the cheap room rates )... I would definitely recommend

We stayed here at the TownePlace for two nights over the Labor Day weekend. Our suite was clean, very well-equipped, and spacious. By happenstance, we had a large ADA bathroom (don't know if the regular suites are the same size) and it and the rest of the suite felt quite user friendly and comfortable. The addition of the kitchen was great, altho you'd have to ask for more silverware and plates if you wanted to feed more than two and not wash the dishes each time after eating. It was a bit of a hike to downtown, so we drove to get to the capitol and to the great restaurants and shopping in that district, but the suites are right across the street from the University and just down the road from the lovely historic train depot. It was also nice to note that the hotel accepts dogs, so next time we might bring along our Golden. The windows in the room open to let in some of that fresh Idaho air. The breakfast did have some hot choices, but is still too much of a carb fest for us, so we chose to cook in our room. We'd suggest the hotel invest in less scratchy towels (both bath and paper -- is it really that much more expensive to bump up the quality just a bit?), but these small discomforts are quite minor in a sea of pleasant experiences. The artwork on the walls was nice, the lamps contemporary and functional, the wireless internet was both free and easy to access. Nice newish furniture, smoke free, adequate linens, easy parking. We found Boise to be interesting and very pretty. Excellent food at the restaurant downtown called Fork, and yummy frozen Yogurt at a place just down the street from Fork called Aspen Leaf Yogurt. Boise has a philharmonic, several museums, large lovely parks, and a Costco (best prices for gas). This all made for a great first impression and we hope to be back.

Room Tip: Join the Marriott program - you can generally get a bump up in room if you are a member.

Great place, rooms are nice. Only bummer is the pool is indoors. Walking distance to Ann Morrison Park which is a wonderful park.

I made a reservation here even though I was hesitant due to some reviewers' comments. I can't understand why the hotel rates something like 21 out of 55 hotels. TownePlace Suties Boise Downtown was a REAL FIND! We had a room with 2 queen beds and a small kitchen. It was a large, very bright room, not depressing at all. Breakfast was included and was delicious. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My son enjoyed the pool and the fitness room. Some reviewers noted that the walls were paper thin. To some degree, I understood what they meant. You could hear people talking as they walked by the room, however I didn't hear any conversations from the rooms on either side of us. Sometimes, you could hear water from a shower running, but it was not a problem. We stayed on the third floor, and sometimes could hear
a bit of noise from the fourth floor room, again, not a problem. An EXCELLENT choice!
