The St. Joe River is scenic and peaceful. Good camping areas along the way, and friendly people in the area.

I live in St. Maries overlooking the St. Joe River. It is near and dear to my heart. From the crystal clear running rapids upriver to the lazy water flowing through St. Maries and into Coeur d' Alene Lake. What else can I say?

Fishing is my life and there is no better river than the St Joe! You also have to visit during the sprint boat races as well!

The Saint Joe River has a dramatic range of topography that it passes though, most of which you can drive the family car along side of. The upper River is a small mountain stream with great trout fishing. The lower River is larger, slower, and great for water recreation. The BLM Huckleberry Campground is great.
