Let’s just say the advertisement is not too accurate. The room /cabin is old and very outdated. Beds are from the 1970’s it seems like and for a family of six and sleeps 8 they only have one bathroom. Not supplied with anything but towels for showering, why have a semi- working kitchen is beyond me. The ceiling fan was caked with dust and ceiling with cobwebs, daughter found bugs on the beds. Please rethink if you are considering this place, not worth what they are asking a night. Also, not much of a resort if it is overgrown with weeds. Needless to say I will not be returning here again.

The room was clean and looked newly remodeled. I was expecting a full size refrigerator, but was a small under the counter one. We new ahead of time there were no kitchen supplies, so we brought our own. It says on their website there is no pots, pans, dishes, etc. We only had 2 towels and 1 wash cloth, but went to the store and were given more. Put our towels outside our door the next day and were given more clean ones. Some of the wash cloths we had looked like someone used them for grease rags. The girl doing laundry was really nice and people cleaning rooms were nice as well. Yes, the place grounds needs cleaned up some. The grass needs cut really bad. Parking is a problem. Beds are awful. Everything around West Yellowstone is high.

This place is not cheap and it doesn't live up to its price.

However, there are great views from the site (not necessarily from your accommodation) across the lake.

It's all a bit rough and ready. The rooms are small by US standards and not brilliantly equipped.

There is a gym - I wish there wasn't. The gym was above our room and is open until 10pm. This meant that I was kept awake (we were making early morning visits to Yellowstone NP) each night by thuds and the sound of people leaping about above my head. You may be luckier - or be one of the people thudding about.

The location is good - great views and quite close (c15 miles) to the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Could we have found somewhere cheaper and even more convenient in West Yellowstone? I didn't online from the UK a while before so it would have been risky to assume we could.

We did see a Moose - big thrill for us! - twice on our journey to and fro so that was good value!

Doesn't take Amex.

Staff were a bit offhand and slow in checking us in - but I guess she might have been new.

There is a shop with camping provisions, food etc but when i was there the staff were apologising all the time for not having what people wanted - 'we're expecting a delivery soon'.

There is a cafe/restaurant/bar which is quite handy. The beer was good, the service was friendly the food was very welcome. Good french fries but the phrase 'rubber chicken' was coined for the chicken we had. Still, we ate it all and were quite glad of it. If the room rates were lower it would be more in keeping.

Overall, a perfectly OK, slightly shambolic, rather rough and ready place which charges more than it is worth.

The property was gorgeous simply stunning views. The staff was super friendly, it's difficult to find a place were not only does my family fit, but I feel completely comfortable and safe, the wild rose was that place. Did not have to worry about the kids, being unsafe it was just such a family friendly enviorment. The room was the perfect fit for our family. If you are traveling with a family this is the place to stay. We planned on going into Yellowstone all three days we were there (the park is not far at all) but there was so much to do on the resort we spent a day just playing down at the lake, and relaxing. If we needed anything all we had to do was ask, and the staff did their best to help us. If we come this way again we will definitely stay at the wild rose

This was an adventure to say the lease...Newly remodeled kitchen was perfect...but it
had NOTHING IN THE CABINETS OR DRAWERS....no plates, silverware, glasses, pans, ....BARE....we had to BORROW on frying pan for eggs and fried bacon in a small sauce pan...and that only came free after another renter was done with it...Used their paper plates, plastic silverware, and paper cups from the office coffee counter...

Sleeps 10, which we had, but they only supplied 4 towels and 4 washcloths at first...
It pulled out our "creative" cooking, using our "to go" boxes torn in half for serving "dishes" etc......Not Cheap tho....Good for Camping and Fishing....just not for travelers...Expected MUCH MORE than what we got...
