“One Night Visit Will Lead To More”
Reviewed 22 May 2012

On our annual trek from the southern Californian desert to our summer home in Montana, we ususally travel the freeways. For a variety of reasons, this year we left I-80 at the junction of Hwy 93 and headed north through Idaho. This led us to a one night stay at 100 Acre Wood Lodge--at the suggestion from one of our friends. We were not only not disappointed, we were elated. The room was spacious and immacuately clean. The dinner meal, which we pre-ordered from a list of 7or 8 itmes was fantastic. One of the best we have had in a long time, and it was modestly priced as well. The local scenery was specatacular as was the talent of our hosts. The breakfast meal was very ample and down to the home made jam was delicious. There was not a single element of our visit that was not perfect. We will recommend a stay at 100 Acre to all our friends and will endeavor to return---but for a longer stay.

We chose 100 Acre Wood as a single night stop on a multi-day trip and were not disappointed!

This B&B is located a few miles north of Salmon, Idaho and is easily spotted off of the Highway 93. The scenery is spectacular and the accommodations match the surroundings. We were in a king room on the second floor. We discovered we were the only guests that night and enjoyed the quiet that came with that. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.

We took a little stroll around the pond and along the river and found several signs of the wildlife that comes with the territory, though we didn't see any up close.

Our hosts were very knowledgable about the area and clearly enjoy being there. Breakfast was delicious and came with various stories about the area and the wildlife....and a great recommendation for a side trip before we headed out.

The resident geese and the visiting Canadian geese ensured that we awoke early enough to not miss a minute of the scenery the next morning. In other words, if you don't want to be woken by them, please bring earplugs....!

If 100 Acre Wood was closer, we would be back soon! But for now we will hope for another visit in the future!

Room Tip: We can't imagine that there is anything but a good room here! :)

We love rustic and this place was perfect! The rooms were super clean and cozy, beautiful surroundings and the food and service were over the top! Plan to eat there cause you won't be dissapointed. Also we were there in early spring and the elk and deer walked right through the yard and below our balcony :) They also have a stocked lake in the back and you can fish and paddle boat. Super neat place we plan to come back every year!

Room Tip: We stayed in a suite. Super affordable!
