A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. It is clean and well maintained. Make sure you visit the Botanical Center which is right next door and is also free to visit.

Love hanging out here....especially liked watching the ice sculptor do his magic! The zoo lights event was quite nice too...during and after the Christmas Holidays.

Considering this attraction is free you may think you won't get the full zoo experience...you'd be wrong. The animals were amazing, they had the full spectrum and it flows well to walk around. Here is a tip though, if you park in the street you can save quite a bit of money from parking in the Zoo car park...and it's only a 5-10 minute walk.

The zoo was great, parking is a hassle and it is easy to drive by and end up on I94 by mistake. But well worth the trip. Park in the Lincoln Park Conservatory lot, it's $13 but well worth it!

Honestly at first, I felt bad for the animals, but the people there take such good care of them, and they seem really happy !! Free , no hassle food and no prey !! haha It's a very beautiful and BIG zoo !! Be sure you have an entire day and lots of batteries for your camera !
