The hotel is very nice and has been redone even though it is an older property.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and it was clear they wanted to make my staff very good. Someone had smoked in my room (non-smoking rm) and I told the front desk because I didn't want to get charged for smoking in the room. They were immediately responsive. However, a maid had left a dirty rag on the counter and when they asked I told them. They said it wasn't what you would expect from a Four Seasons and upgraded me to an Executive Suite, including a note, wine and candy. I wasn't even complaining. I just didn't want to pay a smoking fee but they way they handled the problem will make me a Four Seasons Customer again. In fact we have reserved the Four Seasons for my step son's upcoming wedding. Management was extremely good!

Room Tip: Get the Exec Suite. Worth the upgrade. Very nice.

If you appreciate quality and exquisite design then the Four Seasons Chicago is for you. The lobby and adjoining restaurant were just redesigned and will not disappoint.
The service is typical for Four Seasons as are the rooms.
We had a Deluxe Executive Corner Suite on 42 floor that had incredible views of the city and Lake Michigan.
The pool and hot tub are well done but unfortunately are NOT ADULT only which would be appreciated.
Getting to your room is a pain - take the elevator to 7th floor lobby then walk through the lobby to reach the elevators to the rooms.
We received an early check in and very late check out and even received some complimentary champagne and choc. covered strawberries.
The Hotel is located close to John Hancock Building and great rest like Spiaggia. Water Tower Place is also very close as are the RED " L "
We loved this Four Seasons just as we love all the Four Seasons we have stayed in.

Room Tip: Get corner room above 40th floor

I satyed with my family in Chicago Four Seasons for 3 nights from March 31st through April 2nd. Great service. Edgar at the front desk made us feel as if we were the only guests there. Karen, at the Concierge spent more time on planning my trip than I did. The room was superb, clean, well appointed. The location is central to everything. Like I usually do in any city I am visiting, I spent a lot of time choosing between Four Seasons and the other options like Peninsula and finally settled on Four Seasons. Mind you, for Boston,Cairo, Budapest, Los Angeles, I have no experience to compare the Four Seasons to any other hotels because I considered them and then stayed at the Four Seasons. I think the beauty of the Four Seasons being, they make you not want to stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Corner room with a lake view.

We have enjoyed the Four Seasons in many locations. Chicago is no exception. This hotel boasts a new restaurant, which is actually where the old restaurant used to be, but the menu is new and the atmosphere is great. You can't beat the location...very nice upscale mall on the first 6 floors of the building. You can step right out the front door onto Michigan Ave. and find even more fabulous shoppinig. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so well kept. The service is top shelf and the staff will bend over backwards to please you. This is my idea of a 5 star rating and I have compared other hotels to the quality of the Four Seasons when I reviewed them.

Room Tip: Naturally the higher the floor, the better the view. I suggest requesting the lakeside of the buildi...

This hotel is so good and so close to perfect that little things become larger. The lighting in my suite connected the foyer hallway light with the bedroom hallway light, and I could not find the switch to turn it off and lost some sleep. The shower drain was clogged and fearing a flood, it was shut off.
However, the public areas are beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the view from the 32nd floor was magnificent, the bed is super comfortable, and the sofa bed is outfitted with an extra mattress type comforter. Room service is excellent, and the new restaurant is beyond beautiful, and the food and wine are tops.

Room Tip: Get a view of Lake Michigan

A lovely experience as ever. Never disappointed by the Four Seasons. I received a complimentary upgrade which was a nice surprise, but throughout my stay the staff could not have been better. The property is flawless and beautiful and downtown location make this a must visit. Completely worth it.

Room Tip: I would ask for a high room for the view.
