Only called in for a drink after dinner, should have found this place earlier, staff friendly and informative. Busy place. Open kitchen, so you can see the food being prepared, looked delish. Great place to share a meal with friends.

I don't even know how often I have been at the Purple Pig now ever since my daughter took me there couple of years ago. I was there with a friend visiting from Germany. It was a Friday afternoon and tables were crowded, but I know I can usually snatch some chairs at the bar. Great bar tender. I ate again the Calamari and the Roasted Cauliflower, my friend chose other dishes. He made the mistake with one dish and didn't like it. The waiter later took it off our bill. Had a couple of drinks, talked to our neighbors to the right who noticed my calamari and ordered it too and loved it. Always a great uplifting atmosphere there and amazing view of the busy people in the kitchen working so hard.

Second visit to this little spot on Michigan Ave. We were lucky to go at an off-time on a Saturday afternoon and only waited 30 minutes to be seated. Very busy but fantastic spot for yummy eats at reasonable prices. Great wine selection and unique menu items.
