This is a lovely hotel and the price of our stay was very reasonable. The hotel served nice food and the drinks were cheap. The rooms were spacious, clean and had nice fittings.

The spa costs an extra €15 but it is worth every penny!

We stayed at the Hotel Ciudad de Binefar a few days after it opened in mid-April 2017, and recommend it highly.

Although I'm generally fonder of small, old hotels, it's a nice change to stay in a new, modern one. There are so many design touches that I appreciated, including:

- large room, clean of course (as we might have been the first to stay in that room)
- really nice bed linens. Really nice.
- excellent soundproofing and air conditioning
- better than average wifi
- a huge roof terrace filled with comfortable furniture. I'd go to this hotel just to hang out on the roof terrace.
- an excellent gym. Though not yet open when we stayed, it had a great mix of (new!) machines, free weights, and room for mats.
- a pleasant design aesthetic.
- good breakfast

I'm not sure what would bring people to Binefar -- a pleasant but undistinguished town -- but this hotel certainly is an attraction. We had an afternoon snack in the hotel's restaurant and it was very good. We found a good nearby restaurant too.

On the downside, checkin was unusually slow, but they'd only been open 4 days so it's understandable. I'd expect them to iron out issues very quickly.

This is a very modern, upscale hotel in the middle of a nothing town. Why is such a nice hotel here? It would be totally in keeping with a New York City or San Francisco hotel.

The hotel seems VERY new (maybe only open a few months?) and not yet fully functioning. The spa/pool area didn't seem quite rash (but close).

The decor and rooms are very modern, upscale, and super-swanky. Nice touches like USB outlets in the room for charging up devices, a very nice all-glass bathroom with electric shade r example, for privacy. They've really gotten into high-tech (not always quite so successful). One weirdness is that when you get off the elevator, the hallway is pitch black. Not until the motion detectors sense you will the lights turn on.

Assuming that they finally get everything completed and their growing pain sorted, in giving them the benefit of the doubt and giving them full marks.
