We went to the newly reopened, Santa's Village in Dundee at the start of August. My husband and I took our 3 year old and 16 year old. The teen enjoyed the shops and is looking forward to the opening of the paintball area. My little one just loved it! The crowds were not bad at all during the week so she was able to ride everything several times. The rides are great and most are suitable for all ages (Moms and Dads can ride along). Santa's sleigh ride was short, but the little one loved it, especially when we saw the reindeer. The back area is the zoo. Kids can pet many of the animals and even go on a pony ride. Admission to the park covers everything so there are no extra charges to go on the pony ride or get into the zoo.
On hot days they have a sprayer you can walk through, it's just enough to cool you off. The park isn't that huge where you get lost, you can get around the entire park very easily. Food was all at a decent price and very good. Staff is excellent and very patient with the kids. They have a new area where you can actually bring a grill for a picnic that looks really nice.
Looks like a waterpark will be connected next summer. This really is a great place to take the family with your little ones. The price was decent and if you look online, you can usually find a $2 off coupon. Parking is free and plenty of it.
For the smokers out there, an entire area is dedicated to a smoking area. It's very nice and you can still watch the kids while relaxing. The park is clean ,friendly, and a good value. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about visiting.
