We stopped in for lunch while condo shopping in Oak Park - so many restaurants to choose from - but we were in the mood for Vietnamese. Great choice. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food came quickly. It was hot and delicious. Hubby had the beef flank pho and I had the grilled pork rice vermicelli with the egg roll on top. Both were very good. We will definitely be back soon.
(This restaurant has relocated in 2016 from Forest Park per an article I read, so if you read about it in Forest Park, it is now located at 726 Lake Street in Oak Park a couple doors down from Scoville Park and Oak Park Avenue.)

Simplicity and fresh ingredients combine in this restaurant to delicious and nutritious family style Vietnamese food.

The large but yet manageable selection of Bun Mi sandwiches served on warm fresh French bread are each made with fresh wholesome ingredients.

The pho soup broth is homemade and served with just the perfect amount of rice noodles, so that one can enjoy both. The condiments: sliced peppers, basil and sprouts are are fresh and served on the side.

This is a family run restaurant so expect the warmth of a family and the decor of a simple home. There is nothing pretentiously fancy about this place but one leaves with the glow of having had a great homemade fare in a relaxed setting.

The Vietmanese coffee is a must. Get one to go...

Saigon Pho is a refreshing addition to the growing number of great restaurants in Forest Park. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared. The menu includes traditional and French influenced Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is unpretentious but comfortable, and the service is excellent. The pho (soup) is wonderful and a large bowl is huge -- plenty to take home. The lemongrass beef is a favorite, as well as the crepes. The rolls are also fantastic with the fresh peanut sauce. The smoothies and teas are also excellent.

We eat at Saigon Pho every other month. The food is super fresh, flavorful and most often really well made. The prices are reasonable and most of the time the service is good. It is always well meaning, but when they get busy it can get a bit sloppy and with a few of the servers you will work to be understood. Take that in stride and enjoy the food.
Most people come for pho, and that is pretty good here though not the best in the city. We enjoy the fresh spring rolls, the banh xeo ( a kind of rice flour crepe) the noodle and stir fry dishes.

Went here for lunch. Had there fresh spring rolls which were so delicious! For entree had the pan fried soft egg noodle with shrimp, chicken, and beef. Very flavorful. Brought home the ban mi (spelling?) sandwich for dinner. It was light and tasty.

Definitely going back to try pho and other dishes.
