Took the family for a last minute dinner Saturday night. We arrived at 6pm to a partially full dining room. Great welcome by the maitre'd!

Calamari was incredible! Bruschetta not quite as a good. I thoroughly enjoyed my linguine scampi and the Mrs had the sausage and polenta!

Kids meals were a big miss. They really should consider a kids menu.
The padded table tops made it tricky to keep kids water glasses from tipping over.

We left to a booming dining room with live entertainment. We will back but maybe leave the kids at home. The majority of the dining room was an older (50+).

Perfect place for a two-person business lunch.
The restaurant recognizes its clientele are business people looking to get in and get out.
The food is classic red sauce Italian.
All good. Many fish choices.
It's not on the menu but order to veal in pesto sauce with sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese. Fantastic.
$5 valet parking is a nice perk.

Phil Stefani is one of Chicago's best known and most successful restauranteurs. At last count, he owns nine dining rooms or bar and grills or beer gardens or event spaces, including Riva Crab House, Tuscany on Taylor, Tavern on Rush, Tuscany in Oak Brook and Tuscany in Wheeling. My wife and I haven't been to all of them--Stefani keeps adding new venues faster than we can visit them--but we're making progress. Recently, we had dinner at Tuscany in Oak Brook. Located at 1415 West 22nd Street, across the street from the shopping mall, it is a busy, upbeat venue with live music, first-class service and a menu of fresh and tasty antipasti, soups, salads, pastas, seafood, veal, chops, lamb, tenderloin and desserts that is everything you have come to expect of a Phil Stefani operation. We started with minestrone, Caesar salad, bruschetta and pasta and fagioli soup. For entrees, we chose seared beef tenderloin and salmon. For dessert, we decided to share a slice of chocolate mousse cake and a couple of scoops of peach sorbet. Chicago is a wonderful restaurant town and Phil Stefani certainly has found his niche.

Do yourself a favor and if you are near Oak Brook Illinois at the mall go here for a dinner. This is a go to restaurant across the street from the mall so you will have to drive over there but the drive is worth it. My wife, 2 daughters and I stopped for a dinner after a day of shopping. We had house salad, pasta e fagioli soup, RAVIOLINI DI PERA
(roasted pear, parmigiano, toasted nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, mascarpone cream) and LINGUINE CON SCAMPI (shrimp, garlic, hot pepper, marinara, crema alle). My daughters wanted chicken limon, which was not on the menu, and they made it for the girls!! The service is first class and professional and the food is always outstanding.

Food was delicious. If you sit by the bar it is noisy because of the live music (that is very good). We chose to sit in the back in a more closed off room and then after dinner enjoy the great upbeat music to dance and/or listen to. Fun place to go on a Saturday evening.
