Down a sandy path, through a small village with everyday Mekong life floating by outside, this charming little hotel could be difficult to find - the trick is to get your taxi driver to phone them on the way to get directions and arrange for scooters to meet you and take your luggage to the hotel when further car travel becomes impossible. The owner Su and her family are delightful, very limited English but the indispensable Mr Vu is on hand to arrange anything and answer all your questions - his motto is 'nothing is impossible', indeed he arrived at 6 every evening to whisk my daughter off to a doctor he knew to attend to her ear infection, with great success.
Meals - breakfast £1 and dinner £3, were simple, delicious and freshly cooked by Su in the spotless outdoor kitchen and served by her ever helpful small sons, a different menu every night, delicious.
Near the ancient houses with the small town of Cai Be with its bustling market within easy walking or biking distance.
A lovely local experience, impeccably clean and comfortable, we would happily come here again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while in Car Be. Nice clean rooms. The Lady who ran the hotel didn't speak English but she was very kind and she had a man around named Mr. Ho who spoke English and was extremely friendly and was very helpful in translating and helping us book taxi's, buses etc.
The Lady who ran the hotel cooked Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for a little extra cost; definitely worth it though, she provides more than enough food and excellent tasting food and fresh fruit. Some of the best meals we had while in Vietnam.
Definitely need help finding the place as it's located in some back roads near the river, but the lady emailed us instructions which was very kind of her.
She lends out bicycles for free which I really enjoyed using to cycle through the back dirt roads and into the little town.
Small very none touristy area, all the children wave at you and say Hello.
If you're going to Cai Be, stay at this hotel.

The lady running the hotel is so sweet and an amazing cook! There is not much food available in Cai be town but the hotel meals were very good and cheap. The hotel is right on the water, with a cute river front path to walk along and watch the life on the Mekong. The floating market in our opinion was not really worth it, as we had already seen a lot of the Mekong so weren't that impressed. The location is very peaceful, nice, and quiet. There is not a lot to do in the Cai be township except bike around and observe the people living on the Mekong. Great hotel.

This hotel sold us a floating market tour to a market that does not exist anymore and was awkward. Only the man who sold us the tour really spoke English while other staff could not communicate well.
The room was very nice, the bathroom was great, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks.
The food was very overpriced for what it is because it was very bland and quite expensive for Vietnam.

Expensive breakfast and dinner, and dinner is terrible.
They can't speak English much so we can't get much traveling information around, they just try to sell the packages of tour hardly.
In addition, the location is hard to get here, no road for taxi. Only scooters you can reach here.
It's so noisy at night, local people are doing karaoke every nights, just next to the hotel.
