Firstly, excellent quick, helpful communication with the owner.

Very good directions etc, which made it easy to find even in the dark.

House is beautiful, fabulous location, stunning views, extremely well kept. Everything was to a very high standard from the contents of the welcome basket (Twinings tea, just like at home ;-) ) to the lovely bedding and towels.

I could not recommend this highly enough, we can't wait to return.

“Would have to be one of the most spectacular locations in Great Britain.”

At the end of a six week self drive holiday we were blown away by Bienvenue, our last holiday rental. From the position on top of the White Cliffs to the view across the English Channel, the location is simply breathtaking. The accomodation itself consisting of a fully detached two story cottage contains all that you could need for a comfortable stay. Adequate parking (sometimes a rarity in the UK) is provided together with free and efficient wi-fi, a fully equipped kitchen, clothes washing faclities and two comfortable bedrooms with en-suites. A walk atop the White Cliffs is accessed via the back gate and Dover Castle and other local attractions are a short drive away.

We were lucky to secure a three night booking at relatively short notice as this property is very popular so that is advisable to book well in advance.

From the moment we walked around the corner & saw "Bienvenue" we knew that we were going to enjoy our time in Dover. The house was bright , welcoming ,spotless & provided us with the most spectacular views of The White Cliffs, the coastline of France & the Chanel.
The walks along the cliffs provided us with our daily exercise as well as giving us an insight into the local flora & fauna and of course the walk to the local was most welcome .
Everything was well catered for from the welcome pack of tea, coffee, bread, butter milk & biscuits { most appreciated } bathroom & laundry starter packs etc.
It was an ideal starting point for the many nearby tourist spots like Dover Castle & Leeds Castle, of course the outlet centres & other historical sights in the area.
Bienvenue was an excellent place to relax & would be most suitable for both couples & families plenty of room and the upstairs bedroom a real wow with the most spectacular views, a huge bath in the bedroom and a very comfortable bed . Downstairs bedroom & bathroom facilities suitable for persons with disabilitiy

There isn't much I can add to what has already been said about this fabulous place. I booked after reading the review that said if you're thinking about booking just do because you won't be sorry - and they were right. I particularly appreciated the welcome pack on arrival. It makes it feel like a home from home when you can walk through the door and make a cup of tea (even though it's much more luxurious than home!). It wasn't till I got back home that I really appreciated the endless views of sea and sky. I'm still pining for that view.

Liked best: The views; the location and the decor.
Liked least: It costs £10 to get a taxi from the nearest station (approx 2 miles)! But the welcome pack makes up for it.

We had another fab week in St Margaret's and finding Bienvenue has completed the picture for us. There isn't another place that we have found with such high standards of comfort and cleanliness.

The cottage is purpose built and the owners have thought of everything. Outside the cottage everything is quiet and peaceful, with fab views of France. The village is a short walk away (about 20 mins at a leisurely pace) so you can stroll up for Dinner, have a few glasses and walk home easily. There aren't street lights but we had our own torch.

The welcome basket and complimentary toiletries are much appreciated. Will we back? Well we got home yesterday and I have already booked for next year.

We have booked holiday homes in kent for the last 12 years. Cant believe we missed this stunning place. Just walking down the garden path blew us away. I will start with the views. As the house is on a cliff top you have full views across the channel, ferries going past every few minutes, france when no rain or low cloud/fog. St Margarets bay below. All this from garden, patio, living room with its glass front doors and the top floor bedroom the same. Very nice garden leading onto cliff walks. The owners have made this a really special place. Room was comfy and warm, kitchen is very well laid out with everything you possibly need, both bedrooms very well presented and huge en-suite in both. Double sinks, big showers, big mirrors and toilet. Even a seperate bath in top floor bedroom overlooking the channel. Beds were super comfy. The best thing about top bedroom is the view just lying in bed. Dont bother with the curtains why miss the scenery? The free wifi was a bonus as the monday was monsoon day so kids were happy on their laptops while the wife and I chilled on the sofa with tv and freesat and dvds. The welcome pack of bread/tea/coffee/milk/eggs/jams/cookies was a very nice touch. Owners very pleasant. Needless to say this is now our favourite letting so we sure to try and book again. Dont miss out if you looking for luxury place in kent because this is what you want.
