“Recharge your soul”
Reviewed November 8, 2011 for a stay in October 2011

Cranberry Cottage is well equipped, comfortable and the ideal place to get away from it all. My partner and I bought our young son who loved it equally as much as we both did. He is on the move now and at rapid speed, so I would suggest it's an ideal holiday rental for either babes in arms or older children. As you can imagine it was a case of removing anything which may pose a danger to him beyond his grasp.

Plus it was a bit of a squeeze getting his cot to fit in our bedroom. Ideal for a moses basket and a much younger baby. This has not put us off at all, my partner and I plan a weekend away at Cranberry cottage very soon, our son this time shall stay with nanie and grandad for the first time. Everyone is very excited at the prospect... especially mum and dad.

“Relaxing break at Cranberry Cottage”
Reviewed November 7, 2011 for a stay in October 2011

My wife and I and our seven month old daughter had a very relaxing four nights at Cranberry Cottage. Paul and Jean were both very hospitable and gave us some great tips for some good walks.

We had only booked for three nights but liked it so much that we stayed for a fourth. A highlight of the cottage has to be the wood burning stove with wood provided. We loved the open plan set up with kitchen, dining room table and lounge together.

It is in a terrific spot with interesting places to visit.

“Excellent holiday venue”
Reviewed October 14, 2011 for a stay in October 2011

If you enjoy either walking or sight-seeing I can thoroughly recommend Lower Farm where the accommodation is also first class. The Shropshire hills, including the Stiperstones and the Welsh borders are very close by, in fact several walks can be taken directly from the farm. Ironbridge with its ten museums and RAF Museum Cosford are about 30 - 40 minutes drive away so there is plenty to do for all. Although the cooking facilities are fully up to date, try the nearby Stiperstones Inn, food is excellent and inexpensive. The owners of Lower Farm make you feel very much at home, so much so you will want to return, we definitely will.

“Comfortable Cranberry Cottage”
Reviewed September 16, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

Lovely conversion looking out on to what may have been original farmyard, now tidy courtyard with views to Stiperstones beyond. All we needed within, everything including a basket of logs for the woodburner (not needed due to good weather) and a welcoming tray including tea, gooseberry jam and fresh milk in the fridge.
Lovely walks from the front door and lots of maps and information available if needed. Stiperstones are famed, and rightfully, Cardingmill beautiful even when school/coach parties throng.
We adored Bishop's Castles individual stores (Check out 'Simpsons' for unique items and some seriously cool reggae), the market and charity shops in Newtown - W H Smiths for original 30's (?) tiles on frontage and inside, and the most excellent wholefood/organic store 'Harvest' at Lydham.

Sorry the duvet was too warm - we do have other thicknesses available when someone asks. We'll need to add that into the welcome information, so thanks for pointing it out.

“September 2011: Another wonderful stay at Lower Farm”
Reviewed September 16, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

Another delightful two week holiday at Lower Farm - our third visit - and once again we wished we could have stayed longer. The studio is clean, cosy and comfortable with wonderful views and all the amenities we could have wished for, and the new owners made us very welcome. This is an excellent base for anyone who loves hill walking, with the hills of the Stiperstones only a mile away. Its also a good central location for visits to Shrewsbury, Bishops Castle, and Church Stretton, all with their own unique charms. We will be back!

“Excellent base for some great mountain biking”
Reviewed August 22, 2011 for a stay in August 2011

This quiet extremely well equipped studio is spacious and comfortable with stunning views. The surrounding area is perfect for "from the door" bike rides and walks. The stiperstones are just 10 minutes away by bike and the lanes, tracks and bridleways of Shropshire are excellent fun and very quiet. There are many additonal options by driving just a short distance to the Long Mynd or Wenlock Edge or across in to the Welsh borders. There are so many options for rides from here that we will definitely be back to sample more.

“Salopian Retreat”
Reviewed July 24, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

Having recently spent four nights staying in The Stiperstones Studio, (perfect for 2) we can report that everything exceeded our expectations. This first class, stylish accommodation, set in a more remote area of Shropshire is spotless, beautifully kept and provides peace and quiet, views, walks and interesting towns and villages within driving distance. There is a secluded patio set amongst a cottage garden beyond the veg plot. It was lovely to sit there admiring the views over the fields, the black and white cows and the hills beyond. We had a very warm welcome from our hosts who provided us with a starter pack and later delicious salad leaves fresh from the garden.

I particularly appreciated the small things - plenty of towels, t towels and all the items needed to wash up etc! Fully equipped - there was nothing we needed that we did not find there. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding good quality.( View from the bed was rather addictive)!

A lovely place to watch the sunset from is outside the Callow Hill pub. A must for visits further afield - Ludlow on a market day. Go up church tower,(small charge). Its worth it. Also Ironbridge. From the Ironbridge walk upwards through any of the small alleyways on the hillside passing tiny odd shaped cottages, pubs, churches etc, to get a real feel of the place.

Would thoroughly recommend Lower Shelve Farm for an escape from the stresses of life.
