We travelled in January given the time of year it was extremely humid, we had an upstairs room, the split system is locked on a certain temperature and fan speed, one day there it took 31/2 hours for our room to cool, so we were beside ourselves !
The main part of the room was clean , bit tired and dated, but ok, the shower wasn't clean in the corners, looked like it had maybe just been mopped over, bit yuk!

We were there in peak period but we thought it was a bit pricey for what it was.

We stayed here four days in the executive suite (with King Bed and spa)
Although the decor is outdated (90's era) it is still very clean and the spa luxurious (large for 2 big people). Kitchen size is good and has microwave and good cooktop. Only issue found was there were not a great variety of frypans (one small one) to cook with if needed.
Air-con worked well which was a plus during the heat wave we found ourselves in. Bed comfortable and plenty cupboard/drawer space for clothes etc.
Shower very roomy and has two shower heads (though very close together).
Close to everything, short drive to Harbourtown shopping, food places, sancutary and hope island and dreamworld etc.
Only drawback is that reception closes at 7pm. So no checking in late, effectively makes it booked out after 7pm. Also they have in-house movies (though not recent releases) that is on a shared channel for all rooms, first come-first served...however you need to book BEFORE 7pm otherwise you have no free movie or are forced to watch someone else's choice.
The executive suite is a little more private though you may near the neighbours comings and goings from the bedroom section.

Other than that we found it pleasant, quiet and will definitely stay here again when we next visit the family.

Room Tip: For king size beds, go the executive suite

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are large, clean and well presented and the grounds are lovely and include a beautiful, large goldfish pond. Staying there reminded me of family holidays I took as a child. It's very close to Harbourtown for the retail-minded, in a very pretty part of the Gold Coast, and pleasantly quiet while being a short drive from the centre of everything. There was just something about the place, too, that brought back memories of pleasant stays in Motels on long driving trips with my Mum and Dad when I was a kid in the late seventies. It is well worth a look for anyone looking at a family holiday.

Good location, rooms spacious, beds comfortable. You get a fair bit of noise from adjoining rooms. We could hear every time the neighbors showered. Prices are up there, maybe jacked up for the marathon weekend.
