This is one of the best meals we had in Cuba, and the best in Varadero. It was recommended by our hotel staff and we weren't disappointed. The meal was giant and we were so happy with what we got. More beer available here than just crystal. We were very happy with our food. There was also an awesome band, the man who sings was amazing. Here's the catch, bring alot of pesos because it's pricy. And we weren't told how much it was going to be. We had to pay half in pesos and half Canadian and the math on the remaining didn't make sense so we ended up over paying about 15 dollars or more. Dont risk not bringing local currency.

We were looking to find good food off our resort, so we asked our taxi driver to take us to a decent place for bbq, he took us here and we did not regret it, you need to go down a back lane which seems sketchy but once you pull up to the restaurant you immediately love it. For the amount of food you get the price is worth it, also the band was awesome and the violinist is something else 🎻🎶😍💜 I will be back.

the place is kind of cool place, but I wouldn't say it was something Special. I have to agree with bhagency Review; poor hospitality, not a smile from no one. Had to a Waitress and ask for the bill otherwise they'd leave you sitting there. Quick to clean up the dish and empty glasses, but don't ask if you like something more.
Food itself, I've found is pretty much the same wherever you go in Cuba, either Pork, Beef, Chicken or Fish, no seasoning on anything, just grilled. Some platters had 3 out of the selection of meats on them, but again same flavour.
But at the end when a person got the Bill, a person is amazed at the cost of eating in Cuba, again like other things on our trip I took a picture of the Bill

This was a surprise ! We did not expect to find such a great restaurant in CUBA! We were invited by friend to meet here, and were completely surprised, a small place in a back road, live entertainment and just a BLAST. ARE YOU HUNGRY ??? the plates are HUGE! and DELICIOUS!! NOT cheap eats, but well worth the price! expect to pay roughly what we pay in restaurants here in Canada.... $20-$30/ plate + $3 beer and drinks. 3 people you will spend easily $100. But WOW SO GOOD!!!

I am amazed to find good reviews of this restaurant.
I visited this last week in a party of 4.On arrival the welcome was sour.
Our waitress had zero personality and was most unhelpful in our choices, insisting one dish and accompaniments per person. This was contrary to advice from our guide who suggested plates to share..
The prices were the most expensive we saw in our whole trip and that included a magnificent restaurant in Havana.
The quality of food was good but not excellent ,but way overpriced.
The Mariachi Band was a bunch of sour faced musicians who looked like they wanted to be some place else.
When we left all waitresses were standing chatting and only one had a smile and acknowledged us,not our server.
In conclusion-If you want an ultimate tourist rip off then this is your ideal place.
