Direct off Route 1 this is easily accessible with a car park (700kr charge, parking machines only take card), toilets and small gift shop. The waterfall has a path behind it but this is only accessible in the summer which is very wise as the stairs up to the start of the behind path was very slippery with ice. Some smaller waterfalls down the path. This is a busy attraction so be prepared to share your experience.

Beautiful waterfalls! Make sure to walk up to the smaller one and get inside. Be careful and don’t fall to the river.
More than worth an effort!

This place is not just about Seljalandsfoss waterfall, but about the 4-5 waterfalls in the same cliff. One having a stunning cave you can walk into if the stream isn't overflowing.

Really nice stop to appreciate Iceland's nature.

Parking is pay and display, however we drove a bit towards the houses at the western end and parked there for free, then too the path to see the waterfalls and back again. You will be walking this path to see all of the waterfalls anyway, so there is no point paying for the paid parking (don't go telling everyone! :P)

A beautiful collection of waterfalls dominated by the main event.
You have the option of going around the back of the waterfall and I’d definitely take it.
Parking isn’t free unfortunately but it’s worth paying for.
