I tried this place last week and I will definitely be back. I'm not a barbecue expert by any means, but the food was tasty and you got it without a wait. The place was packed at lunch time, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. You make your way to the back of the room and get a tray with meat, sandwich ribs, etc. Then move to the sides area then lastly to the beverages. Choices abound, but I liked the mini pulled pork sandwich with spinach and mac n' cheese. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Had a nice Sunday lunch with a colleague. Fortunately we got there before the rush. The food was tasty and the portions were a good size. It is a little on the expensive side, but I guess it's worth it for that authentic BBQ taste. I definitely recommend.

This a BBQ at its best. You cant go wrong on anything the cook up at Real Urban. Burnt Ends are my favorite. The Tilapia Fish Tacos are tasty too. Nice atmosphere and staff. Not a fan of the sauce squeeze bottles found at each table but do appreciate the roll of paper towel. 5 stars!

If you're looking for an authentic barbeque experience, you'll need to go elsewhere. If, however, you're looking for a place where your food is ready quickly and you like BBQ sauce, then you'll likely enjoy Real Urban Barbecue.

There is a wide range of sides of Southern flavor and a healthy range of different meats available, but the flavor here is not that of a more traditional smoke-based slow-cooking method. Instead, BBQ sauce is used as the flavoring agent and it's used in heavy quantities.

I prefer to eat meat that has gotten its flavor from the cooking/wood smoke process as well as the spice rub that can go on the meat, but I don't get that from the food at Real Urban Barbecue.

The range of sides are tasty but not spectacular and I find the cost of the food to be pricey for what is received, so it's hard for me to give this a high value rating. The decor inside is pig-based and neat, but if the place is at least half-full it gets quite loud inside. I did not dislike my experience here, but I wouldn't recommend it for fans of real barbeque.
