I've made it a goal to try as many non-chain coffeehouses as I can in the Indy area. Kaffeine was recommended by a friend. So, I thought I would give it a try. I get the whole "industrial" theme they are going for based on its location, but it is a little over the top. The seating area just feels cold and unwelcoming. Lots of uncomfortable seating that doesn't really say "stick around a while." But more importantly, it was actually VERY COLD temperature-wise in there also. I was wearing a hoodie and winter coat and I was still freezing. It couldn't have been over 50 degrees in the store. I had planned to relax and read a book throughout the morning, but the place was so uncomfortable and cold, I left as soon as I was done with my drink. My latte was good, but it didn't make up for the atmosphere. I doubt I would return.
