With 3 people sharing a room and the resulting pile of wet towles, I was concerned that the room hadn't been attended to by 3:30 in the afternoon. I stopped by the front desk and reminded them and was assured that the room would be cleaned. When I arrived back after 9:00pm I found the pile of wet towles still on the floor, beds unmade, etc. I really don't think daily room "service" is an unreasonable expectation. While the room is attractive, the mattresses and carpeting is showing it's age. The jacuzzi had a large pile of sand in the bottom, and there is no beach anywhere. The drains in the pool are heavily rusted and half the chairs at poolside are in jeopardy of collapse.

We can't wait to go back! Beautiful cozy atmosphere. Warm fireplaces, games and free coffee area. Rooms were really nice. Pool was awesome. Kids had a blast. Small game room with ping pong and air hockey table and other arcade games were fun to enjoy . Tvs and blocks and legos also for families to enjoy in the sitting areas with comfy couches.

Resturant looked nice but we did not eat there. Lots of little cozy places to relax and enjoy your coffee or a book or just sit and talk. Nice gift shop area. Lots of rocking chairs to relax on.
The state park is beautiful! You do have to pay a fee to get in but then use room key to get back into the park if you go into town.

We spent 2 days with college friends. We did some hiking and stayed in the lodge. There are some nice areas in the lodge to relax, read and play some board games. And the park is close enough to Nashville Indiana that a trip into town is quick.

We spent Spring Break 2017 in the Orlando, FL theme parks. This year we wanted to stay closer to home and enjoy a place where focus was spent on time with family. We chose Brown County State Park and booked a family cabin at the Abe Martin lodge. The first day we arrived the indoor water park was closed due to someone having diarrhea in the pool. It was cold, so we decided to have dinner at the lodge. The lodge itself is gorgeous. There are multiple rooms to sit and read, play games, walk around, etc. The restaurant is small and they only offered a buffet that cost $16/person. The buffet food was pretty standard. The park itself has many areas and parks with large shelters with fire places and lights. The park is huge! We didn’t get to enjoy too much of the park since it was cold and rainy.

Our second day brought more storms later in the afternoon and we had expected that. The indoor waterpark, though, closed during the storms with lightening. There is an enclosure and roof so we were surprised by the closing. Understandable, however, and we spent time in the lodge areas.

The cabin was very nice and had all the amenities you would need for the week. There’s a wood-burning stove inside and 2 bedrooms. We had plenty of room, although, a second bathroom would have made it perfect.

Overall, we spent most of our time in the lodge rooms and in the cabin since the weather wasn’t fantastic. I wouldn’t recommend this park during rainy times if you’re looking for adventure - unless you don’t mind hiking in the woods while it rains. There was lots of lightening for our stays so that would have been very unsafe! We enjoyed hanging around the fire and playing games.

The small town of Nashville is a ghost town in early spring. It seemed as if it livens up more in the summer. We may visit again during the summer!

Enjoyed a nice lunch at the dining room. The adults had the delicious buffet and the kids ordered a la carte. The buffet included roast beef, fried chicken, pork roast, lots of vegetables, mashed potatoes.salad bar and desserts. Especially delicious was the fried chicken. Exceptional favorites were the corn fritters with apple butter. blackberry cobbler, and cream pie. masj
