“Great value. Great service.”

Checked in very late one night after a horrible experience at a motel a block away. The night clerk was extremely friendly and efficient. The room was clean and very comfortable. I had a great night's sleep and a nice breakfast the next morning. I really appreciated that they didn't charge me extra for my pets.

It seemed strange that there should be 2 Drury Inns across the parking lot from each other, but this is the case in Terre Haute. Within a couple weeks, I stayed at both. The Pear Tree Inn is smaller but less expensive than the other Drury Inn (perhaps $30 or more, but I ended up with 2 different sized rooms, so I can’t compare the prices exactly). Angela at the desk was quite helpful.
The hotel was booked up, so I was glad that I had made my reservation in advance. Nevertheless, it was very quiet and I never would have guessed that all the rooms were full. It was clean with a good, standard breakfast. The popcorn in the lobby in the evening was a nice touch. It’s right off the interstate, so access couldn’t be simpler.

Overall, not a bad stay... the staff is very friendly, and the stay was cheap (in the $50ish range). Parking was easy and well-lit. Starbucks is across the street, which is nice.

Why so cheap compared to other places? The breakfast area is small, but hey - it is a free breakfast, so that's good. The TV is a regular TV instead of a flat screen, but that didn't matter at all. The heating was the "high/low heat" kind instead of a thermostat, but it worked just fine.

My only real concern is that it's pet-friendly. That may be a good thing for some... Other than seeing dogs going in and out, I couldn't smell or hear any animals at all, so in the end, it was just fine.

Overall, we'd stay here again if the price continues to be right!

We were driving to Denver from Pittsburgh and looking for a great value hotel that was clean and right off of I-70. Pear Tree Inn was perfect because of price and location. It's the sister hotel of the Drury Inn without amenitites that we did not need like a swimming pool. Thus, the price is lower. The staff is excellent. Michelle at the front desk called about road conditions before we took off. The breakfast was great and included hot waffles that you make on the waffle machine as an added bonus. Very adequate lighting in the parking lot allowed us to keep all of our packed items in the car overnight without worrying about safety. The room was very clean. The price was lower than other hotels we checked.

My wife and I stopped in without reservations (but did check TripAdvisor) and stayed at this PearTree Inn. They have a complimentary breakfast and a room that looks like a Drury Inn (minus the fridge and microwave). We paid around $76 for the night with taxes included. Good place for overnight - if staying for several days, or more, go to the Drury Inn next door.

I stayed one night on my way back home to Connecticut, by myself. The room was luxury ttype surroundings. It had a fridge and micro wave, ice, on the 2nd floor, nice furnishings. With a coupon I had from a travel magazine I paid $47.00 with the tax included. Breakfast was okay, waffles, muffins, cereal, coffee orange juice. The staff was nice!

We were heading back from Michigan from a trip on motorcycles and was ready for nights sleep. The desk clerk was very quick and kind in checking us all in our rooms. Quiet rooms and heard no loud noise. Good coffee, etc. available to drink 24/7 and when arrived about 8:30 they still had hot popcorn for free. Rooms were not special but king bed was comfortable, nice chair to watch tv or read. Plenty of hot water for shower. Bill left under door. Quick check out. Breakfast had great variety for the price. Hot waffles to make, fruit, yogurt, organice granola, raisin bran, etc. cereal, bagels, variety of breads, juice, coffee, teas, etc.Easy access to Interstate 70/41. Bob Evans next door for full meal but did not use..got in too late for dinner.
