It's an older hotel so you get what you get with it I suppose. It was a decent hotel, not all bad, but there were donut sprinkles and crumbs in the pull out couch bed in our Suite. For the price we paid for our Suite for a wedding weekend to have extra room to have people in the room to sit and visit the Suite was extremely tight for a Suite. The Jacuzzi tub was huge and a great size, but the outside/surround of it is showing it's age. Towels never got replaced in our room when it was cleaned. they just left the pile of wet towels on the ground under the sink area. We were there for a wedding and got a discount and i still feel we overpaid for this hotel...I've stayed in nicer hotels for less money on business trips in bigger cities.
It was ok bc we weren't there much bc of the wedding activities, so if you are just going to sleep it would probably be alright, but if you are going there to stay longer than a night or two I would say the drive to Ames to a nicer hotel would be worth it.More
