Went to dinner here on a Saturday night. Lots of outdoor seating as well as several places indoors to sit. We were seated inside. There were a couple of musicians serenading at tables. They were adorable. I was unclear as to whether we were expected to tip them? It added to the authenticity of the ambiance.

Our server was dressed to the nines and attentive enough without hovering. That's a hard balance to strike.

The salsa was ok. We shared the carne asada tacos. Wow. The meat was seasoned perfectly and cut into small enough pieces that we could eat the tacos without feeling like animals.

We got a side of guac and our server came out with a big bowl full of fresh avocado and proceeded to pound that into the rest of the ingredients in the bowl and there you have it-fresh guac. Does it get any more fresh than that? Nope. THAT guac did NOT come from a can, which in some places we have eaten we have wondered....

They have horchata!!!! If a Mexican place doesn't have horchata-it's not Mexican. It was the best horchata we've had. Not too thick, not too thin, not too sweet.

It was pretty quiet, which was a welcome change for once. Didn't have to yell across the table to have a conversation with my husband.

We really enjoyed this place, the service, the food, the ambiance. We definitely would eat here again.

This place defines bland Mexican food. From the chips and salsa to the main course it seemed like every bit of taste was drained out. And they have the nerve to charge extra for the hot salsa. Service was spotty at best, our server didn't check on us and getting a second glass of water was a feat of perserverence. How this place rates number one in Mexican for this town is beyond me. If this place was at home we would never eat here again.

Road construction in front should not deter you from stopping here. Excellent food and service found inside or outside in pleasant patio. Chips are salsa are good and the margaritas are excellent. Had great chicken and even nice grilled vegetables on the side. Good Tex-Mex but it is all the way in Iowa!

Three of us ate there (two of us staying at the motel next door) and the food was unexpectedly good. In fact, excellent. Each of us had something different (I had shrimp tacos) and everyone loved everything they had. Great service! (And a discount because we were staying next door.)

Our go-to place for Mexican. Well prepared dishes, not as Americanized as some places. When the weather is nice, the outside seating is at a premium. The shrimp fajitas are very good, never overcooked. For the big eaters, the molcajete has a great presentation, and excellent flavor. Get there early on Taco Tuesdays for a cheap meal.
