Went to dinner here on a Saturday night. Lots of outdoor seating as well as several places indoors to sit. We were seated inside. There were a couple of musicians serenading at tables. They were adorable. I was unclear as to whether we were expected to tip them? It added to the authenticity of the ambiance.
Our server was dressed to the nines and attentive enough without hovering. That's a hard balance to strike.
The salsa was ok. We shared the carne asada tacos. Wow. The meat was seasoned perfectly and cut into small enough pieces that we could eat the tacos without feeling like animals.
We got a side of guac and our server came out with a big bowl full of fresh avocado and proceeded to pound that into the rest of the ingredients in the bowl and there you have it-fresh guac. Does it get any more fresh than that? Nope. THAT guac did NOT come from a can, which in some places we have eaten we have wondered....
They have horchata!!!! If a Mexican place doesn't have horchata-it's not Mexican. It was the best horchata we've had. Not too thick, not too thin, not too sweet.
It was pretty quiet, which was a welcome change for once. Didn't have to yell across the table to have a conversation with my husband.
We really enjoyed this place, the service, the food, the ambiance. We definitely would eat here again.
