My husband & I recently stayed with Cynthia & Jeff who were lovely hosts. We had a lot of questions prior to our arrival which Cynthia took her time to answer promptly and efficiently. The neighborhood was a great location to scout out the area. Their was good shopping and other attractions walking distance from the house and a close proximity to the main road.
The apartment itself was modern, clean and well appointed and there was everything we needed for our 3 week visit. Dolega is warm, as is most of Panama, however they provided ample fans and ventilation. It was very convenient having the fast Wifi, as well as a laundry area, kitchen utensils, parking etc..
We were greeted by the resident German Shephard named Princessa and her side kick Rikko the cat. It made us feel more at home having animals around and prevented us from missing our own pets back home. Princessa btw, is quite the watchdog, as sweet as she is, and kept a constant eye on the property which made us feel very safe.
We had a nice patio in front to enjoy, and saw many birds and even iguanas on a regular basis. The yard is big and they took pride in showing us the progress of their garden, flowers, and fruit trees. They do have a small river in the back but was too overgrown at the moment so were not permitted back there for our safety but were promised it would be ready for our next visit.
I might add that the neighborhood is very friendly and we made friends with the neighbors and shop keepers in no time and always felt very safe walking around. We even had the fortune of arriving just in time for the local Dolega horse parade which was a special experience for us to get a glimpse into the local culture and fiestas. All in all we really enjoyed it, and the price couldn't be beat for what they provided. We would definitely stay there again when visiting the area as well as recommend to anyone!!
