Went for a thanksgiving getaway. The hotel and casino were both very luxe in design and that's where the upscale stoped. The customer service was poor with the desk clerks less than eager to please, and casino bar tenders that made you feel like they were doing you a favor serving you an overpriced beer. The Thanksgiving buffet had over an hour wait at 11:30 AM and only served your thanksgiving basics including the driest turkey I've ever had and desserts that looked great but tasted like 2 day old bake goods. The few casino buffet extras were as lack luster as the staff. The chilled crab claws sat in a bath of temped and murky water, that I think maybe was ice hours prior, and the peel and eat shrimp did not have enough Cajun seasoning to dull the stench of old fish. The massages we got Friday morning from the Aveda salon were a delight, but after shelling out 270 for two nights, 42.00 for the buffet, 26 bucks for a few beers and 2.68 for a travel sized toothpaste from the gift shop, the 180 for the two, seemed a bit overpriced. They offer a massage/hotel package, however, for this date it was more expensive than paying separate. Positive note, the casino games were fun and we broke even! The Willy Wonka and the Flintstones game were very fun to play. Overall this spot may be very...Went for a thanksgiving getaway.
