Travelled to Riverside to stay at this highly recommended hotel. Received a gift card this past Christmas and this was the first chance we had to use it. This hotel offered a "match coupon from another casino lodging" venue and we made the reservation for a Monday evening stay. (Match coupons are only honored Monday thru Thursdays). Upon arriving, we were denied the special rate because the supervisor said we did not have the "original coupon"! We gave him our e-mailing and he said he needed the original. We tried to explain that we do not receive "hard copy mailings" from this particular casino but he would not honor the confirmation we showed him for Riverside.
We reluctantly checked in at a higher rate however, after getting settled into our room, we called the Hotel Manager, Traci, and explained the situation to her. She totally understood our dilemma in not receiving hard copy and credited us the difference as was originally quoted. Thank you, Traci. Aside from an uncomfortable experience at check in, our room was excellent, tastefully appointed, clean and comfortable which made our visit enjoyable. Just a note, if you go with coupons for special room deals make sure you read the "fine print" for what is required to have them honored. In today's high technology of social media, the lack of receiving "actual mail copies" could present a problem and then, totally ruin your trip. We are thankful we spoke with the manager who straightened everything out to our satisfaction!
