I've been a fan of Jerry's Pizza for many years. I appreciate that they are locally-owned. Sioux Cityans who have moved away from town often make sure to pay a return visit to Jerry's when back in town. I have had out-of-town friends ask how to get a pizza shipped and have had others ask me to bring them a pizza when I go visit them.
First off, the crust is unique. If you like a thick pan pizza, Jerry's isn't for you. A Jerry's pizza crust is thin. I've heard it described as being like a cracker and I can sort of see that. Second, the ingredients they use at Jerry's always seem to be fresh and even better is that they never skimp. Finally, in many years of ordering, I have never had an order get mixed up. If I order a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and onion, that's what I will get. If they say it will be 45 minutes for delivery, it will probably be 45 minutes for delivery.
Jerry's gets busy on they nights you'd expect them to be busy - Friday night, Saturday night, etc. Plan ahead if you need your pizza at a certain time.
There are several locations in Sioux City. If you are from out of town and have never been here, please note that you are not going to go to Jerry's and be able to sit down to eat. In fact, the Morningside location has no seats at all. Jerry's is a delivery or pick-up place. Know this before you order.
Oh, one more thing. Jerry's Pizza is just as good as leftovers the next day. Mmmm, breakfast.
