i called to make reservations was told not once but twice outside water park would be open wasn't, drove three hours for my son spring break weekend. Called down to voice my concern with inhouse manager not at all concerned.Called and left several messages with managers one, no return call , second manager stated he didn.t believe a word of what i said. I payed for lake view no lights on frist night pitch black. There were stains on carpet. The linen was ragged and so thin you could see though it. The breakfast frist morning hash browns looked like mashed potatoes with sour cream and cheese, the biscuits were hard and dry. was some improvement over food second day. But never in my life have i payed for such bad service and management don't care. I came with another group they didn't recieve much better.

My family and my parents traveled from Minnesota, and my brother traveled from Omaha with his family. We gathered at King's Pointe for a weekend together in early December to have a family Christmas. It was fun!!

Our main reason for choosing King's Pointe was the water park. The 4 kids had a blast! The adults did too! The indoor waterpark isn't huge, but it was enough to keep the kids entertained. We were also impressed with the discipline of the life guards. Constantly walking and keeping their eyes on the water.

Our room was comfortable. However, the walls were paper thin. I got to listen to the neighbor order pizza for her family and rattle off her cell phone and credit card numbers. It was pretty late at night and we just wanted to sleep!

Housekeeping was disappointing. We had 2 beds. One bed got made. The other did not get touched. We had visibly soiled sheets on one of the beds and not only did they not make the bed, they didn't change the sheets. I had to call and ask for new sheets. I was back at the pool when the sheets came, and they were only placed on the table for us to remake the bed ourselves.

The food at the restaurant was pretty good. We ate most meals there. Service was slow though.

Overall, a good choice for a family getaway. It would be fun to go back in the summer and try the outdoor water park as well.

Front desk staff was very pleasant and checkin very quick. Ordered room service which was also delivered quickly. Upon delivery I asked what to do with the dishes- was told to leave them in the room and housekeeping would get them when they cleaned the room. Stated I would prefer not to have dishes with food particles sitting/smelling in the room all night. Then was told to call room service back and they would come pick the dishes up. Between 7:30 and 8pm- if even that late, called to inform them dishes were ready for pickup. Was told I could put them outside the door and I specifically asked if they would be picked up and not left there overnight. Was told yes. But when I left the room to go down to breakfast at 6:30am next morning, dishes still there sitting in floor as they had not left the tray when food was delivered. Informed the front desk upon checkout. This was not only disgusting, but very unhygenic. Front desk made a note and stated she would inform proper personnel.

enjoyed the ability to have a indoor and outdoor activities available for the family, rooms were adequate ...really enjoyed the stay and the views. First time stayed had a suite room adjacent to the blowers from the dining facilities...bad choice...actually like some of the other guest rooms better.

Room Tip: Search for discounts...can be a bit pricey...but nice savings on gas expense

My family of over 75 people gathered at King's Pointe to celebrate our Grandma birthday in July '10. It was a wonderful weekend. The hotel was very accommodating with giving us rooms on the lower level that opened to the back lawn. We enjoyed a great banquet on Friday night. The service was prompt and very helpful. All of us, including Grandma, enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor waterparks during the day. And those who wanted found it easy to rent bikes, get lunch, or go out on the lake. That night, the Thai Restaurant across the street and Honey Kissed Pizza delivered delicious egg rolls and pizza. We all enjoyed a delightful "picnic dinner" on the back lawn over looking the lake while enjoying family olympics. On Sunday the young kids enjoyed playing at the awesome playground and we enjoyed another picnic lunch in the covered picnic area.

We have visited the water park many times since and always have a GREAT time with our now 5 & 3 year olds. We live in the Chicago area and would rank it above some of the local water parks we have in our area.

My husband and I decided to stay over at King's Pointe since we had tickets for a comedian that weekend. Check in was fast and easy. We had reservations for 6:30 at the hotel .restaurant and the comedian started at 8. Good thing we had plenty of time since we didn't leave the restaurant until 7:50. Service was not the best but the food was great! We had the AHI tuna and Ribeye both were great. (my husband asked for his steak medium rare and it came rare which he actually perfers but is leery about ordering it that way). The biggest complaint was our salad and soup were forgotten and we had to ask for them after they brought our entree. Also, they were a little slow on filling our drinks. Overall, it was a nice diner with an amazing view. We went to a conferance room which they had set up for a comedian. The seating was alittle close but it was an amazing time. The comedian was awesome so was the opening act. If you decided to do something like this we suggest seating on the outer edge if you want to get up for drinks. Otherwise it is a bit crowded to get around. There are no waitresses to get drinks for you. Our room was nice. We were on the 2nd floor standard king parking lot side. The walls were VERY thin. We could hear people in the hallways talking (we could actually make out conversations) and we were on the 2nd floor which we suggest the 3rd because we had people above us that were up at 6am walking around and we could hear every step. Enough complaining on to the good stuff. My husband and I forgot a wine bottle opener and the front desk ran it up right away. After that my husband spilt some wine on our comforter and we called the front desk incase they wanted to come get it to get the stain out and they were more concerned we had adaquate bedding. They brought up new blankets right away. The next day my father brought our 13month old daughter and we went to the waterpark. SHE HAD A BLAST. It was January so we obviously used the indoor waterpark which is perfect for little kids. What a fun weekend. We will be back! There is another comedian in March!! :)

Room Tip: 3rd floor maybe less noise! Lakeside would be nice but you pay more.

We took a two day getaway to this hotel because kids wanted a water park adventure. We were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in the middle of nowhere. Water park is somewhat small but has plenty to keep everyone busy even teenagers. Indoor water park is better suited to younger children. Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Beds and linens were great. We really enjoyed our time here. We had beautiful lake views and enjoyed the bike/walking path that ran along side the lake. For a little getaway this place has a lot to offer.
