Woodward was our access to the High Trestle Trail. We were excited to park by the Whistling Donkey and looked forward to music and a bite at the end of the day. The band seemed really good, but outside seating was packed--no place to hang out. The food on the grill smelled great. We ordered, and 45 minutes later, got a mediocre cheeseburger and the news that they were "out of pork chops." Seemed really rude not to tell us in time to substitute--nor to offer a substitute. Had to ask for a refund, as we paid when we ordered, with out beer. Very active local--they don't need extra business. BYO food. Beer was fine.
