Location is great for visiting Bonavista Peninsula (Trinity - Bonavista) as it’s right in the middle. We went during COVID summer so their rates were lower than usual as a result. (Paid $90 plus tax per night for a single Queen room). As such I was very happy with the value! Great deal for what you get.

My husband didn’t find the bed that comfortable but I did. There were all the typical hotel amenities in the room. Very clean. It looks like they renovated the room that we were in (assuming they did so with all rooms).

Only complaint was that our room was right next to the hall door which slammed very loudly when anyone opened it. I feel like this could easily be fixed to be more quiet when it shuts, though.

Restaurant was good — loved their breakfast.
I definitely recommend this place. Would stay here again!

Honeymoon suite amenities are lacking. Private hot tub and bathtub but no shower. Ran out of hot water. Room was cold, and couldn't find out how to turn on electric fireplace. Front desk staff not very friendly. Breakfast was excellent, bed is comfortable and location is good and easy to find.

The most accommodating and friendliest service! Would recommend to anyone staying in the Bonavista area! Rooms were so clean and modern - great common area to hang out and relax with friends and the kids! Restaurant had amazing home cooked meals!

On the main road into Port Union. Newly renovated. Attractive with its varied colourful rooms. We had booked a twin bed room but on checking in found that it was situated on an upper floor, so very tough when you have to lug up suitcases. Fortunately a double bed room was available on the main floor. To say the least it was cozy, in fact quite small. The bathroom was small with just enough room for the bath, no hand rail, and toilet; the basin was adjacent to the bathroom. They did have a table and a chair for the coffee service but there was little room to set up our small computer. A fridge and a TV was available. The Heater was noisy. Just enough room to walk between the bed and the furniture. The Fireside Grill, a large dining room was pleasant for breakfast and it was quite good, served nicely. It is a picturesque site but still needs some renovation outside the building. Not many motels in the area. No view.

Room tip: Main floor

We ate here this morning on our way to explore the Bonavista area. I wish I'd asked the server's name because she was unfailingly polite, wonderfully genuine and very personable. Breakfast was simple and very good, but the server made the stop memorable. We joked, we asked questions about the area and felt more at home in that eatery because of her. This place is a microcosm of what we love so much about Newfoundland: comfort and friendly, down-home people.
