Although the hotel is right off the interstate and not overlooking the lake I thought it was convenient to everything we did. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was like at a Hampton Inn and the hotel was similar too. We had a nice king suite with sofa, microwave, fridge and whirlpool bath tub. Always clean, this was a great decision to stay here for our trip.

We booked this just for 2 nights for a quick couple nights away. The place was really clean but the room we had was tiny. The bed was so bad we checked out early and went elsewhere for the second night. As far as hospitality went the staff was very friendly.

This is the third time we have stayed here. The decor is very cute. It is time for them to get new mattresses. Between the noise from outside and other rooms, and the very uncomfortable bed, I got very little sleep. We come to Grand Rapids about once a year. The breakfast was OK. The staff was friendly. The next time we will be looking for another place to stay.

Pattis was a nice surprise. The staff was great, rooms clean and reasonably priced, and the ambiance was really fun. People were sitting around inside and out chatting, playing cards, etc. Since we were tired, we ordered delivery from one of the local restaurants. An hour and a half later, the night manager (Eva?) called them and raised a ruckus. Our food was there in 15 minutes and was courtesy of the restaurant. The only caveat is that it is in a dry county, so if you want an adult libation, you have to bring your own. In my case, I was befriended by a nice couple that shared beer and stories with me.

Room Tip: The front has the best view. Additional handicapped parking in the rear near the door. The village they advertise is several miles south.

The room we had was clean and relaxing. There wasnt much hotel maintenance noise which was a pleasant change. We had our pet and he was welcomed with open arms. Breakfast was decent. The only negative thing i have to say about the room is tgat the bathroom vanity was too small. Travelers needs a place for their STUFF, so if you ever remodel, consider a place for toiletries.
