We were driving from florence to a wedding in Tuscany and it was lunchtime. We saw a small sign for this restaurant and despite the streets of this little town being absolutely deserted we stopped and ventured into this gem of a place. Luca, the owner greeted us with a warm smile and Italian charm. Even though we went famished we were enticed into trying several dishes, including a pasta made on the spot with mushrooms that and been delivered while we were having a drink and white truffle (the first of the season). It was delicious. Everything at the restaurant -including the festive atmosphere inside (it filled with patrons even at lunchtime) was delightful and such a surprise to find such foodie establishment in this unassuming little village. It was a memorable lunch.
