Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! We stayed here November 12, 2011 with a group after bringing our daughter to Franklinton for a rodeo performance. The room had a closed up, old smell and we immediately went and purchased fabreeze, lysol, and pillowcases. We then brought in our own blankets and pulled back the top comforters. It was the only motel in town so we decided it would have to do for the night. When we came back close to midnight the first thing we saw was a roach crawling across the mini fridge. The hand towel was filthy hanging up and we had not been there to use it so it was from a previous guest. We all slept in our clothes, did not take our shoes off and did not want to get in the shower. We basically just slept on our own bedding long enough to get sleep, load our horses and to drive back home. There were roaches spotted on the walls, on the floor and on the sink. My husband checked for bugs in the bed before we'd lay down on our own blankets and when he pulled back the sheets to look he spotted a long dark hair in the sheets! I would have rather slept in the truck but husband was worried about safety so we just got a nap and left. Our friends complained about our room to the owner after we were long gone and he pulled out a receipt from where the motel had been sprayed for bugs. For some reason they were all coming to ours despite this. We kept all our blankets on our front porch until we could run them throught the washer at our house. Felt dirty on leaving the place. Never again...
