Hotel is typical US hotels. Clean and tidy. However the breakfast is very bad, i think these guys better should go and see other holiday inn around the world. However, Scott is such a small place you dont have much choice around. Stuffs are friendly and wifi is good

My family stayed here July 1 - 3, 2016 for a All-Star Softball competition. The friendly hotel staff bent over backward to accommodate the large number of kids and their families. In fact, when the starting times for the games changed, management agreed to start breakfast one hour earlier than scheduled for two days in a row. Breakfast included a wide assortment of cereals, fruits, yogurts, pancakes and waffles. They also placed team members on floors together.
Although the rooms appear worn, ours was clean. The air conditioners functioned beautifully cooling the rooms within minutes. The hot water was plentiful regardless of the time of day we took showers. And I especially liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room.
The kids enjoyed playing in the pool each evening after a hard day of softball games.
On the last night, I asked the front desk if I could rent an additional room. They found a room for me on the same floor as the team and worked with me to get a nice discount.

My two young boys and I stopped here for a quick overnight stay on our trip back home from their Spring break visit at their Paw Paw's in Thibodaux, La. Gwen, a new desk clerk, greeted us. I lost my ID and because of policy she could not check me in. Props to her for sticking to policy and following protocol! She did try to call management with no success (it was super late though) and then suggested that I wait for the night auditor instead. And I'm glad I did. By this point I was exhausted with whiney kids so I apologize for not remembering her name. We had to leave by 5 am so they would make it to school on time and I was seriously exhausted by the time she arrived. She was empathetic, kind, and was quick to get me in my room. 5 hours later, we left to continue the last leg of our trip. She cheerfully greeted us as we walked through the lobby. This lady is a definite asset to your hotel and I wish I could steal her for mine! Thank you for allowing me to stay at your hotel. And thank you to the young ladies who did their best to accommodate me even though I lost my ID (which I have luckily found!!!)

This hotel is a bit travel worn and weary. Peeling wallpaper, shelf in bathroom is glued on poorly, etc, but it was wonderfully warm and friendly. Honestly, for the price, free breakfast and an available room at 2 am, you can't beat it. The lady who served breakfast made our stay. She was incredibly warm, friendly and went out of her way to find everything we needed. Not the usual for a free breakfast buffet.
The fitness center has 3 machines, and 2 of the 3 are broken. I've stayed in many many Holiday Inn Express locations, and the building and facilities in this were pretty disappointing. However - it got 3 stars, because when you hire wonderful staff like this person, the stay gets a major bump in ratings. Thanks to your wonderful staff from the gentleman checking us in, friendly maids and my favorite breakfast provider in Louisiana! Way to go Scott Louisiana! The people are wonderful, the hotel needs an overhaul.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days on business. I was very disappointed at the least.
First, the staff is very friendly and check in was seamless. Common areas were the average cookie cutter hotel but could be kept cleaner.
As I entered my room I was taken back by all the stains in the catpet. There must have been one heck of a party in room 133 as the carpet was full of stains. The shower head was a rust farm, and someone left their name tag on the wall, obviously a previous tennant. The name tag dodged the housekeepers when the room was cleaned after his check out. I was left wondering what else was missed by housekeeping . I left the name tag there so if your in room 133, see if Paul Lejeune name tag is still there, housekeepers can't seebit, LOL. If you are reading this Paul Lejeune, your name tag is still in room 133. Needless to say, the room was not very clean. I was creeped out the entire stay, I purchased Lysol at Walgreens to put on all the surfaces I touched.
This was by far the least maintained Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at.
As for surroundings, Fezzos is a good restaurant close by, there is also a pizza joint within walking distance. Cajun Harley is a few doors down, so be prepared to hear the vroom vroom of the motorcycles as they visit.
Despite the friendly staff, the creepies of an unclean room is enough to keep me away from this hotel in the future.
