My wife and I got the seafood platter, soft drinks and one of Bubba's special dessert that really was a fitting end for an afternoon meal.

Excellent gumbo and po'boys! Crawfish were delicious! Doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is well worth it!

I am a local and this is one of my favorite places. If you are traveling and are looking for authentic Poboys or Cajun food look no further. The casual, laid back atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. If you are a New York Yankees fan you are in for a special treat!

From Pa and anticipating a real Cajun Meal. Ordered the large bowl of Gumbo thinking it would be a great feast. Sadly disappointed to find unidentifiable chunks of meat below a watery mixture of rice and broth. Only after complaining to my wife that I was disappointed with the meal she pulled up a photo of what a real gumbo meal looks like..."Gumbo consists primarily of a strongly-flavored stock, meat or shellfish, a thickener, and what Louisianians call the "Holy Trinity" of vegetables, namely celery, bell peppers, and onions. Gumbo is often categorized by the type of thickener used, the okra, the filé powder, or roux, the French base made of flour and fat."
My meal had none of these qualities. I'm no chef....but every pic showed identifiable shrimp or crab in it

The Yankees room was interesting...Though.

I've been to Bubba's II a few times over the years. It's time for the owner to reflect on his commitment to good Cajun food. Man cannot live by fried-oyster poboy alone. Example, a watery gumbo is a BIG letdown. How about an old-fashioned roux and the holy trinity, with a little kick. And the "spaghetti" dish -- replace with something worth eating.
