We LOVED our overnight stay in Vidalia before hitting the Natchez Trace on our way home. This waterfront hotel is lovely, inside and out. There is a terrific riverfront walkway that lends itself to a stroll, even on a very hot evening. Our room was large and well-appointed with a big picture window looking out over the Mississippi. I felt like we were on our honeymoon again! The hotel is perfectly located to go back and forth across the bridge.

A word of caution: the hotel restaurant is not open on the weekends. They do still offer vouchers for the free breakfast and the scrambled eggs were, happily, real, but it's your standard Choice Hotel fare otherwise. Also, note that many local places close early on Saturdays and don't open at all on Sundays -- plan accordingly. Additionally, our gorgeous room was on the second floor just above the patio and it got crowded, and fairly noisy, at times.

Room Tip: Choose a river-view room but be aware that the noise level from the river walk may be more than average.

Was in town for family emergency booking the room was easy the lady behind the desk (I think her name was Caroline) was extremely helpful and very friendly and she made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were very clean and the beds was comfortable.would recommend this hotel and if we are in Natchez again we will stay here.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the Mighty Mississippi River. The rooms are a bit dated, but tolerable. The check-in and housekeeping staff were nice and accommodating. The breakfast staff, however, left a bit to be desired. My fiance and I were having breakfast on Saturday morning(06/23/18) when a few kids came down to eat. The kids weren't overly rowdy or anything like that, just typical boys. As they were leaving, I overheard the oldest one of the kids who appeared to be 16 or 17 tell one of the younger ones to "grab some cereal for mom and dad since they are still upstairs." The younger one, who couldn't have been more that 11 or 12 years old, did as he was told and the breakfast attendant comes over and rips into to child. He told the child something to the effect of "You need to put that back because other people have to eat too." The little guy tried to explain that his parents were still upstairs and he was taking it to them. The attendant said "I don't care. They need to come down here and get it." The kid put the cereal back and left almost in tears. That was so not the way to handle that, especially in front of other guest. The attendant doesn't know the reason why the parents didn't come down stairs. For all he knew, they could have been sick, disabled, or any other number of things. He could have pulled that kid to the side and calmly said what he needed to say. He did not have to be rude about it. I also looked around the breakfast area for anything that said you could only take 1 box of cereal or that you couldn't take food up to your room. I saw neither of those things posted anywhere. I wonder if an adult had done the same thing, would this attendant have been so quick to jump down their throats the way he did this little boy?! He acted like a bully to a child and that is unacceptable. Please consider sending your staff through customer service training on how to deal with things like this in the future or at the very least update the signage to reflect that paying customers can only take a small amount of food and that it isn't allowed upstairs. The way the breakfast person acted is the reason for my low score, everything else was ok.

You can't beat the location right on the Mississippi River! We had a suite with a view of the river that was so reasonably priced. We spent quite a bit of time walking alongside the river that night and the next morning.

Love staying here. People are friendly. Restaurant not open on Sundays. Carpet is wrinkled, wadded up, stained, and bleached in places. Wall paper could use some attention, at least the parts falling off. I would say this hotel has made a ton of money being right on the Mississippi River. ( about 50’) it’s time to reinvest. Nice sitting outside and watch the tugs pushing barges by your window. Nice sitting outside.
