Thanks so much for the review! We have a new brewery coming to town in the fall - think you need to come back and try it out!
Great room, Wonderful breakfast, Friendly hosts. First experience with staying at a B&B. Who would ever choose a motel. Downtown Freeport was minutes walk away and interesting wonderful places to eat all over;
Really, who would ever think of staying at a cookie-cutter hotel when there are so many wonderful B&B's available? Glad you had a good visit and enjoyed Freeport! Hope to see you again soon.
We stayed Friday night, did a two day LLB kayak/bike/camp outdoor adventure, and returned to KTI for Sunday & Monday nights to visit family in the area. Both rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable & charmingly decorated.
KTI is an easy walk into town for shopping and dining. Mark and Nancy gave great recommendations for both. Great tip on the Lemon Chiffon popcorn, Whoopie Pies, and specialty olive oil — all were a big hit at the family cookout!
Nancy & Mark were very accommodating for dietary restrictions and timing of breakfast on the morning we had to get out early. On the other mornings, we took our time enjoyng the three BEAUTIFUL & DELICIOUS breakfast courses and chatting with the other guests. (I wish I had taken photos of the food)
We also spent time each day reading & relaxing in the comfy Adirondak chairs on the sunny front porch.
Overall, it was a great visit. We look forward to coming back soon!
Ah, the sunny porch. We are blessed to have a huge front farmhouse style porch that is so lovely any time of day. Glad you got the chance to spend some time on it! We are happy to accommodate folks going on an L.L.Bean Adventure with a before & after reservation. Your trip with them sounded wonderful. Thanks for the great review - we certainly appreciate it!
Want to explore Maine fortified with a great breakfast? This is the place. There's three courses of it. All local and made by hand. Nancy's the cook, Mark is the local commentary. There's relaxing indoor and outdoor space to hang out in between whatever adventures you are in Freeport to find.
A short walk from the center of Freeport, this place is the perfect launching pad to this part of Maine. If you are shop-til-you-drop folks, it's perfect. We're not. We spend less than two hours in the shops.
From there, we spent one day in Wolfe's Neck State park and one at the Shaker Village in New Gloucester and the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray.
Love the title of your review! Thanks so much for taking the time to write it. Your stay is exactly what we talk about when we say that Freeport is central to mid-coast Maine and Portland. Your trip hit great highlights, hope you can some back again to see more.
Mark and Nancy are great hosts, Nancy made a delicious breakfast with strawberry rhubarb coffee cake. It was scrumptious. Mark met us when we arrived and showed us around the Inn. Great place to stay and great company.
Happy that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the review - mmmmmm.... coffee cake!
Mark and Nancy are very welcoming hosts and made us feel very much at home during our stay at the Inn. The breakfast menu was superb - they provided a very fresh, home-cooked meal. We gave advance notice that one of us required a gluten free option, which they were able to accommodate. This was no ordinary gluten free food - the quality was excellent, and had we not been told it was gluten free, we might not have known the difference.
The house itself is in a great location, just down the road from central Freeport, close enough to walk into town if you want to. The house is beautifully maintained and very cozy. The shared common areas have books and DVDs to borrow if you so choose, and there's a convenient station for coffee, tea, and other tasty treats. We wish we could have stayed longer than one night, but we are looking forward to returning here again one day.
Wish you could have stayed longer too! Always happy to accommodate a special diet. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again some day!
