Reid has the most beautiful scenic views, beautiful natural sand beaches and rocky shores. The park is the most well kept park I've ever seen, very uncommercialized and friendly. From mile beach and half mile beach you can see two light lighthouses. There are hiking and biking trails and lots of picnic areas including a group shelter. Concession stands are open in season and friendly lifeguard are on duty in three locations in season.
Plenty of rocky shoreline to explore and tide pools to hunt for crabs and lobsters. There is a lagoon perfect for small children who aren't ready for the waves.
On good wavy days the surf is crazy at the Head and at the Point---- great for boogie boarding and surfing!
The water is cold, and depending on the season the mosquitos and deer flies will be bad- but its worth it. this place is breathtakingly beautiful no matter what the weather is like. Great place for families or anyone!!!!!
