We stopped in and gathered all the information we needed for our brief 3 day stay in the region. The staff is very friendly and there is plenty to see while inside. This is a must for anyone who has never been to the area.

Full of local information. Great parking. Manned with a volunteer. I didn't know so much was available in the area. Has public restrooms.
This place sneaks up in you. It's about two miles south of Greenville on hwy 6/15.

We were in town for a moose safari and stopped to see what we could do while we waited. The woman who spoke with us was very helpful and provided free maps, eating recommendations etc... We had a lovely conversation about this beautiful area of Maine. Public restroom was very welcome as this is a remote area. Every visitor center in the country should only be this accommodating!

If you are in the Greenville area, stop here and learn how this area came about and how Greenville contributed to the logging industry...a very interesting stop to tie into the Kathadin.....
