If you like history this is a must see, if you don't like me it is still very interesting and has awesome scenery.

Admiral Peary's home has been well maintained. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable about him and his family. The views are amazing. It is a wonderful place to take a picnic, play on the beach, take a walk around the island.

Took a boat from the Dolphin Restaurant. Definitely worth the trip to see the house that was Admiral Peary's house.

We took Atlanti Seal Cruises for our trip to the island, we brought a light lunch and enjoyed it while taking in the excellent view. The tour includes seeing inside the house as well as some artifacts. After having seen the museum in Brunswick, Maine it was nice to see where the Peary's summered. It was a very good trip.

Eagle is a wonderful spot to enjoy the natural beauty of Casco Bay. Admiral Perry bought this island for $300 in 1880, and his family gifted it to the state in the 1990s. The place is well kept, and there is a ferry boat from the Dolphin in South Harpswell that can take you if you don't have your own boat. Only accessible by water, no cars, very reasonable. For a little taste of what life on a little Maine island would have been like 100 years ago, you should add this to your visit to the area. Enjoy it!
