Dear Jerry S,
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review of your experience! In the two nights you stayed with us, I am glad that you were able to take so much in and for the most part, really enjoy yourself! Right off the bat, I want to sincerely apologize that 201 did not provide the tranquility that you and your wife absolutely deserved after such an exciting (yet exhausting) year! You are right that each room has its own personality and offers something a bit different. Depending on location, some can be noisier and or smaller than others as you experienced. Thank you for recognizing the limitations of our unique and building, as it was built in 1899, and even during renovation, we tried to keep as much of the original infrastructure as possible. However, I do agree that some exploration of ways to reduce the noise heard from doors, or the HVAC unit and /or restaurant patrons would add great value.
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the food and beverage component of the Tides Beach Club and that you were able to take advantage of our expansive breakfast options, and the convenience of our beach lunch! You will have to come back and try our happy hour and dinner offerings ! I am also very proud to hear that the service provided by our staff was excellent in your eyes! That is a warm compliment that I will be sure to share with my teams!
Again, I do want to apologize that the first leg of your stay left you wanting a bit more from your accommodations, but I am glad that you found 210 to be more comfortable both in room size and noise level. When you are ready to visit us again, please be sure to call me here at the hotel. I would like to assist you personally in making your next reservation in a room that meets the mark in every way!
All my best for you and your family!
